At the University of Pardubice we are shocked by the brutal attack at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. This is an unprecedented act at the university that is supposed to be a safe space for all those who seek an education. We express our deep and sincere condolences to all the bereaved victims and our sympathy to all those injured.

You can join the commemoration together with students, management, staff and employees of the University of Pardubice at the Memorial Stone of the University of Pardubice next to the University Library.

Rector Libor Čapek, together with other rectors of Czech universities, attended the commemoration in Prague.

Support can also be expressed by making a donation to the UK Endowment Fund.

All university employees, alumni and students are welcome on Tuesday 28 November from 2:30pm in the basement of the University auditorium, where we will make Advent wreaths for the Home Hospice Care of the Pardubice Regional Charity.

Come join us and help with the making of the wreaths, or come buy a wreath that will decorate your office or your home, and at the same time help a good cause. All the necessary materials for the wreaths will be available. Any other decorations and natural products on the wreaths that you want to bring are welcome!

Experts from the Faculty of Restoration at the University of Pardubice are working on a new project. They are helping to save the ornamental elements on the St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. They are using a new biological method of stone restoration to treat the sensitive surfaces of one of the most famous monuments.
