ADVACAM ADVACAM brings to the scientific and industrial markets the next generation of colour X-ray imaging cameras and imaging solutions.

ADVACAM's expertise covers semiconductor sensor manufacturing, micro packaging, radiation imaging cameras and development of imaging solutions for industrial and academic needs. ADVACAM commercialises Medipix technology that is under development at CERN, Switzerland. ADVACAM comprises two technology spin-off companies from Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics of Czech Technical University

in Prague and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. The Camera team in Prague consists of renowned scientists, engineers and programmers with long experience in electronics design, software and application of radiation imaging detectors. The Semiconductor team in Finland has more than 20 years of experience in silicon sensor manufacturing and micro packaging technologies.

Obecné informace

ADVACAM's imaging cameras are direct conversion single photon counting pixel detectors that represent the cutting edge of current radiation imaging technology. The term “single photon counting” means that every single photon of X-ray radiation detected in individual pixel is processed and counted. The technology brings two major advantages in comparison to the conventional X-ray imaging - high contrast together with sharp high resolution images and spectral information of the radiation that allows material specific information to be displayed in colors.
