Fourteen students of the University of the Third Age set off for the University of Alicante as part of the Erasmus+ programme — and came back with much more than memories from Spain. 🇪🇸☀️

During their week in Alicante, they practised English, met and discussed with Spanish students, explored Alicante and Valencia, developed digital skills and stepped out of their comfort zones. 💬📱🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

The result? New friendships, greater confidence, fresh motivation to keep learning — and a beautiful reminder that discovering the world and learning new things makes sense at every age. 💙📚🌟 More in bio!

Not your typical Erasmus story 🇸🇪✨

When people think of Erasmus, they imagine parties, big friend groups, and nonstop social life. Iva & Jirka chose something different.

🚗 They drove to Sweden in their own car. 🏡 They live in a quiet house in nature (with chickens as neighbors). ❄️ Their days? Frozen lakes, saunas, and Nordic winter magic

“Every day, we try to do something for our bodies, cook good food, and make our stay as enjoyable as possible.”

Their story shows that Erasmus doesn’t have to fit a stereotype. It can be calm, deep, and completely your own.
