Zach is a 3rd-year EIM major with an Individualized Course of Study. He serves as the Rho Phi Lambda Vice President and is the Volunteer Management, Production, and Marketing Intern for Wildflower Experience.

“For Rho Phi Lambda, I worked closely with fellow officers to plan and execute our annual career and professional development fair, with organizations ranging from the San Francisco Giants to Visit Big Bear. As Vice President, I work closely with Amelia, the chapter President, to help execute meetings and build relationships with external organizations that can provide our members with professional experiences.

As the Volunteer Management, Production, and Marketing Intern for Wildflower, I help recruit Cal Poly students to attend Wildflower Experience, a triathlon and festival near Paso Robles. I attend weekly Greek Life chapter and club meetings to present this experience to students, and I’m one of the interns in charge of conducting the Cal Poly experience at this event.”

Here’s a fun one — in 10 years, Zach would like to hold a leadership position in either a large-scale event or a professional sports organization.

Frank is a 4th-year EIM major with a concentration in Sports & Recreation Management. He is the Technical Coordinator for Cal Poly Volleyball.

“As the Technical Coordinator for Cal Poly Women’s Volleyball, I oversee the team’s performance analytics, video breakdown, and scouting operations. I manage match and practice film using VolleyStation and Hudl to generate detailed statistical reports on serving, passing, attacking, and defensive trends. This experience has helped me grow my analytical, organizational, and leadership skills while experiencing the behind-the-scenes of NCAA-level operations, team culture, and performance technology in collegiate athletics.”

Here’s a fun one — his most commonly used emojis are: 😭🫡‼️

Dr. Ru and the department would like to thank everybody who came to the Semester Transition Town Hall, a forum to discuss and learn about the upcoming changes to the EEM degree on the semester system. Dr. Ru talked about: overview of semester transition, key dates, GE changes, major specific information, and left time for a Q&A session.

This town hall is designed to provide important updates, address your questions, and gather feedback to ensure a smooth transition for everyone.

If you missed the forum and would like further information, check out the “semester info & updates” link in our bio above to keep up with degree updates!
