From 2021, the program offers an optional Dual Degree from USC Australia – without prolonging your studies! Last night, the MBA Financial Management programme at Hochschule Coburg took part in the Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften 2026 🌙📊

Visitors had the opportunity to explore how tools such as the Bloomberg Terminal are used in the finance industry, from analysing markets and financial data to understanding investment decision-making in real time.

The event also showcased the international and collaborative spirit of our Coburg community through the “Our Coburg: Close-Knit. Global-Minded.”exhibition.

It was great to connect with students, visitors, alumni, and the wider Coburg community throughout the evening.

A special thank you to Prof. Victor Randall, Naveen Jain, and Ignacio Estrada Paredes for conducting the presentation, and a big thank you to everyone who stopped by and engaged with us!

Frankfurt Excursion – Day 3 🇩🇪📈

From asset management to private banking and global finance, our MBA Financial Management students explored how AI is transforming the financial industry.

At Franklin Templeton, students learned about:
🤖 AI in investment processes and decision-making
📊 Client-centric innovation using AI, blockchain & tokenisation
💡 AI tools in strategy, branding & marketing

They also discovered platforms like Benji and MosaiQ and the future role of tokenisation in asset management.

At Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe, discussions focused on:
⚙️ Applied AI in private banking
🔄 Internal AI platforms improving efficiency and collaboration

The day concluded at J.P. Morgan, where students explored:
🧠 AI in financial reporting and decision-making
💻 Internal AI applications, including conversational assistants and document automation

A special highlight was hearing from alumnus Desmond Bortey Ahia - FCCA, MBA, who shared his journey from graduation to J.P. Morgan and how AI tools are used in practice.

Over the past three days, students gained valuable insights into AI, innovation, and technology across exchanges, consulting, central banking, private banking, asset management, and global finance.

Frankfurt Excursion – Day 2 🇩🇪🏦

From global firms to central banking — Day 2 brought our MBA Financial Management students to the Deutsche Bundesbank.

The day began with an introduction by Michael Shröder to the role of the Bundesbank and its position within the financial system, setting the stage for deeper discussions on regulation, innovation, and the future of finance.

We then continued with:

🤖 Artificial Intelligence from a Supervisory Perspective – Andreas Vogel
→ understanding how financial institutions are facing increasing IT and operational risks
→ the growing importance of operational resilience and digital frameworks such as DORA
→ how AI is reshaping financial services from a regulatory standpoint

We were especially proud to hear from our alumnus Andreas Vogel, sharing his expertise from within the institution.

🔗 DLT Solutions: Opportunities and Challenges – André Witt
→ exploring the complexity of today’s financial ecosystem
→ understanding custody, clearing, and the shift towards instant settlement
→ the potential (and challenges) of programmability in financial systems

🎯 Career Pathways & Internships
→ insights into opportunities within the Bundesbank and navigating careers in central banking

🏛️ The day concluded with a visit to the Bundesbank Money Museum, offering a deeper look into the history and evolution of money and financial systems.

Frankfurt Excursion – Day 1 🇩🇪📊

What does studying Finance at Coburg look like beyond the classroom?

For our MBA Financial Management students, it means direct exposure to leading institutions, real industry insights, and meaningful connections.

We started the day at Deutsche Börse Group, where students explored how finance is evolving:

💼 Vermögensbildung in 2026 – understanding the future of wealth creation (Valentin Winter)

🤖 Artificial Intelligence at Deutsche Börse – how AI is transforming market infrastructure and decision-making (Jakob Mentzingen)

A special thank you to our alumna Karmen Margaryan (Senior Associate, Market Supervision) for making this visit possible and connecting current students with the industry.

We then continued to PwC, where the focus shifted to how AI is being applied across finance and consulting:

🔍 Forecasting & Modelling – using data-driven models to support client decisions, such as forecasting customer deposits across different variables (Felix Engelbrecht)
⚙️ Open Banking & Agentic AI – how banks are adapting to AI through regulatory-first approaches, super app payments, and evolving infrastructure (Lars Geismar)
💡 FridAI Initiative – insights into AI-driven transformation across the firm (Ansar Ahmad)

It was especially inspiring to hear from our alumnus Ansar Ahmad (Lead EMEA FridAI Initiative), sharing both industry perspectives and his journey after the programme.

Real insights. Real companies. Real opportunities. 🚀

Our Internship Workshop 2026 brought together leading global companies and industry experts for our MBA Financial Management students.

Over two days, students connected with organisations such as BMW, Adidas, Mercedes-Benz Group, Allianz, Bosch, BASF, BlackRock, State Street Bank, and more, gaining insights into internships, industry expectations, and today’s competitive job market.

A key highlight?
👉 Hearing from 8 of our alumni now working at companies such as BlackRock, State Street Bank, Allianz, and Mercedes-Benz.

From Saud (Allianz) to Shrenik (BlackRock), our alumni shared their journey from internships during our FM programme to their current roles, highlighting how the skills gained from our FM programme, along with their master’s thesis, helped get them to where they are today.

We also heard from two of our current students, Luciana and Ali, who presented their current internship experiences at BMW.

✨ Ending 2025 Together at the Coburg Weihnachtsmarkt 🎄

Our MBA Financial Management students came together to enjoy the magic of the traditional Coburg Weihnachtsmarkt. After months of hard work and intense study, it was the perfect moment to relax, reconnect, and celebrate the bonds we had built throughout the year.

Surrounded by festive lights and traditions, we shared meaningful conversations, laughter, and a true sense of community as we prepare for the Christmas season ahead.

The UniSC double degree is an experience I’ll never forget. While it’s rainy and grey in Coburg, I’m studying under 🌴 palm trees and enjoying 🌅 sunsets post-lectures.

Graduation Day Highlights – MBA in Financial Management! ✨🎓

On October 25th, 2025, we proudly celebrated the graduation ceremony of our in Financial Management program at Coburg University! 🎉 The day was filled with joy, reflection, and pride as our amazing students celebrated their incredible journey — one full of hard work, courage, innovation, and determination. 💪🌍

The ceremony began with inspiring words from our Program Director, Prof. Dr. Victor Randall, who shared reflections on the new challenges in the global financial environment and encouraged us to become the next generation of leaders and change-makers. 🚀💼
