It's Pride Month!
Pride began with resistance, the Stonewall Riots of 1969 sparked a global movement that continues to this day. Every June, Christopher Street Days across the world honour that spirit and remind us that LGBTQIA+ rights are hard-won and worth protecting.
TU Darmstadt stands with its q***r students, staff, and community.
Save the date: CSD Darmstadt takes place on 15 August 2026!

The Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt (HLMD) is one of the oldest all-round museums in Germany. Its natural history collection features skeletons, taxidermy specimens of extinct animals, millions of years of fossils, and 10 internationally renowned dioramas recreating wildlife habitats from across the globe. The nearby Messel Pit fossils, from a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are a highlight not to be missed.
A perfect afternoon out, just a short walk from campus.

Every year, Schlossgrabenfest transforms the city centre of Darmstadt into one of the biggest open-air festival areas in Germany and it's a beloved local tradition!
However, during the festival days (21–24 May 2026), the city centre will be significantly affected:

• Main roads through the city centre are blocked
• Access to the festival area requires a ticket in the evenings
• Some TU Darmstadt buildings will have earlier closing times, please plan ahead!

Check the official TU Darmstadt website for updated opening hours during the festival:

And later this summer, Heinerfest is coming too!
