On 9 June, it’s that time again: researchers from the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer will be presenting their latest research projects on the Emden campus. Everyone is welcome to attend. Information on the programme and registration is available via the link in the bio.

In addition to the poster and exhibit display, you can look forward to a varied programme featuring specialist talks on current topics such as sustainable energy storage, maritime research and innovative materials.

What a wonderful evening on campus!
Great food from the grill, refreshing drinks, basketball, dancing, and lots of fun together with our Master’s students from Technical Management and Business Intelligence & Data Analytics.

We showed off our basketball skills and tricks on the court, enjoyed a cricket practice session, and spent the evening sharing great conversations and lots of laughter.

To top it all off, we were visited by a little dog at the end of the evening — and everyone instantly fell in love. The perfect ending to a truly special evening.

On April 17th, we had the honor of celebrating and sending off our graduates at the Department of Technology graduation ceremony at the Al Lasco Bib in Emden 🎓✨

It was a special evening filled with pride, great moments, and unforgettable memories as we marked the end of this chapter together.

A night at the opera 🎭

Last Saturday, our students attended Il barbiere di Siviglia by Gioachino Rossini as part of the Communication and Culture course.

Experiencing opera live—performed in Italian with German surtitles—offered a unique insight into culture, communication, and the arts beyond the classroom.

Have you ever experienced a business dinner?

Last week, our students had the opportunity to do just that. As part of the Communication and Culture course, they stepped into a real-life business setting and explored the dynamics of professional dining.

By taking on different roles—CEOs, clients, guests, and sales representatives—they gained hands-on experience in communication, etiquette, and cultural awareness in a business context.

The evening was filled with engaging conversations, role exchanges, and a delicious 5-course menu that made the experience even more memorable.

A truly inspiring night of learning beyond the classroom.

We had an amazing excursion to Bremen as part of our “Communication and Culture” lecture with both of our Master’s programs!

Our day started with a fascinating tour at the Übersee-Museum, where we explored different cultures and perspectives from around the world. Afterwards, we enjoyed a relaxing lunch together at the museum restaurant.

To top it all off, we went on a guided city tour through Bremen’s beautiful city center.

And somehow, the moment our students arrived, the sun decided to show up too—clearly, even the weather knew this was going to be a great day ☀️

Lots of fun, plenty of laughter, and truly fantastic weather made it an unforgettable experience!

Seeing Emden from a different perspective 👀

As part of our Communication and Culture lecture, we took part in a guided city tour and discovered the city in a whole new way. From hidden corners to unexpected stories, it was a great example of how culture and communication shape our understanding of a place.

We wrapped up the tour with a refreshing drink at Café Einstein ☕🍹

Bowling night with our 1st & 2nd semester students from the Master’s programs in Technical Management and Business Intelligence & Data Analytics 🎳✨

A great evening to connect, compete, and have fun together. From clean strikes to well-earned spares (and the occasional gutter ball 😄), there was the perfect balance of friendly competition and good vibes.

Even those who were a bit unsure at the beginning turned into real players by the end 💪

With great drinks, a few lighthearted bets, and some fun moments captured on the lanes, it turned into a memorable night for everyone.

Looking forward to many more events like this 💥
