Meet coach Josephine: Josephine Ann Uhlig has been studying law at Goethe University Frankfurt since October 2017 and is currently in her tenth semester. In her fifth semester, Josephine participated in the 27th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot 2019/2020 as a member of the Frankfurt team during her specialization studies in "Internationalization and Europeanization
of Law". In addition to her work as a coach of the Frankfurt Team, she will take her first State Examination and complete her specialization studies in the winter semester 2022/2023. Josephine also works as a student assistant at the Chair of Civil Law, Commercial and Business Law and Legal Theory of Professor Dr. Tröger at the Goethe University Frankfurt.

Meet coach Jonice: Jonice Tischer has been studying law at the Goethe University in Frankfurt since April 2018. In 2019/2020, Jonice was part of the Frankfurt Team of the 27th Willem C. Vis Commercial Arbitration Moot Court. She has just taken her written exams of the First State Examination (Staatliche Pflichtfachprüfung) in June 2022 and is currently writing her final paper of her major studies (Schwerpunktstudium). Parallel to her work as coach of the Frankfurt Team, Jonice aims to finish the First State Examination with her oral exam in October 2022 and is expected to graduate at the end of 2022. After her First State Examination, Jonice would like to start an LL.M. or prepare for a PhD. Jonice worked as a research assistant in the Litigation group at Clifford Chance from October 2019 until
February 2021. In addition to her studies, Jonice is involved in the student advisory of Law&Legal Frankfurt since February 2019.

This years' team will be coached by three coaches. Meet coach Moritz: Moritz Grahlher has been studying law at the Goethe University in Frankfurt since October 2017. In 2019/2020, Moritz was part of the Frankfurt Team the 27th Willem C. Vis Commercial Arbitration Moot Court during his specialization in "Internationalization and Europeanization of Law" where he received
an Honorable Mention as Best Individual Oralist in the Neil Caplan Award. Moritz worked as a research assistant at White & Case in the Bank Finance/Capital Markets group for two years. Parallel to his work as coach and treasurer of the Frankfurt Team, Moritz will take his First State Examination
and is expected to graduate in the first half of 2023.

Meet team member Frieder: Frieder Merz has been studying law at the Goethe University since winter semester 2021/2022. During his school time at the Friedrich-Ebert-Gymnasium Sandhausen, he attained the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English, which awarded him level C1. He earned his general university entrance
qualification in 2020.
Frieder spent a voluntary gap year at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim e.V. and supported their engagement in social matters. During that time, he played as a goalkeeper for FC Astoria Walldorf e.V. in the Under 19 Bundesliga himself.
Following the completion of the intermediate examination (Zwischenprüfung) in his second semester, Frieder will participate in the 30th Willem C. Vis Moot Court during his third semester. Following his participation, he will continue to complete the advanced exercises (Fortgeschrittenenübungen) and will start his major studies (Schwerpunktbereichsstudium). Since January 2022, Frieder works as a student assistant at SCHILLING, ZUTT & ANSCHÜTZ Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH which enables him to gain insight into the daily work of a law firm.
Frieder is interested in international law. With his participation in the 30th Willem C. Vis Moot Court, Frieder wants to expand his knowledge to new fields of law and get to know the practiced law, beside the theoretical approach of the University. Furthermore, he wants to deepen his legal English and is
looking forward to get in touch with students from all over the world.
In addition to his mother tongue German, Frieder is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of French. In his free time, Frieder enjoys cooking with his family and meeting with friends.

Meet team member Jasmin: Jasmin Lena Müller has been studying law at Goethe University Frankfurt since winter
semester 2019/2020 and is currently in her sixth semester. She earned her general university entrance qualification in Nuremberg in 2019. where she pursued her interest in analytical thinking with a W-seminar paper in higher mathematics. With her studies, Jasmin aims to become a human rights lawyer.
Jasmin successfully completed the intermediate exam (Zwischenprüfung) after the second semester. She grew up in France and Germany. She applied her knowledge of French while completing the DUDF (Diplome universitaire du droit francais) and during a semester abroad in Paris. She pursued her interest in international law by attending the Summer University on European Law in Vilnius in 2022, funded by a scholarship. After the Vis Moot, she intends to finish her major studies (Schwerpunktbereichsstudium) “Internationalization and Europeanization of Law” and further pursue her interest in human rights during an internship at the German Bar Association in Brussels.
In addition, due to her great interest in the digitalization of the legal world, Jasmin is a board member of the Legal Tech Lab Frankfurt. To further develop her skills, she completed an internship as a legal engineer in Berlin, where she used low- and no-code platforms to develop various tools that drive the automation of legal processes. Besides her studies, Jasmin works at the University of Frankfurt in the field of Educational Technologies. By participating in the Willem C. Vis Moot Court, Jasmin hopes to develop her rhetorical skills, get to know a new legal system and to establish international contacts all around the world.
In addition to her native language German, Jasmin is fluent in English and French and has a basic knowledge of Turkish. In her free time, she enjoys learning new languages, sewing and drawing.

Meet team member Paula: Paula Leuschner has been studying law at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main since winter semester 2019/20. She obtained her general university entrance qualification at the Musterschule Frankfurt am Main in 2019. Due to her strong interest in international and business-related topics, Paula took part in the English-language business plan competition "Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow" of the American- German Businessclub in 2016/2017 with four classmates, where she and her team achieved fourth place.
Paula successfully passed the intermediate examination (Zwischenprüfung) after the third semester In 2018 and even before starting her studies, she completed an internship at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung to pursue her journalistic interest as well. During her studies, Paula's interest in business law was sparked, which is why Paula will complete an internship at the business law firm Dentons Europe LLP in Berlin in summer 2022. Paula will be taking the advanced exercises (Fortgeschrittenenübungen) at the end of this semester. After her participation in the 30th Willem C. Vis Moot, Paula will finish her major studies (Schwerpunktbereichsstudium) in "Law and Finance" with the preparation for the first state exam. Afterwards, Paula aims to obtain an LL.M. degree in an English-speaking country and would like to specialize in Compliance after the second state exam.
By participating in the Vis Moot, Paula hopes to expand her knowledge of law and English and to establish international contacts.
In addition to her mother tongue German, Paula is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of French. In her free time, Paula sings in a band and plays the violin, does Wing Tzun (self-defense) and enjoys swimming. She also works as a substitute teacher at the Holzhausenschule elementary school in Frankfurt, which is a good complement to her theoretical studies.

Christoph Dudek has been studying law at Goethe University Frankfurt since winter 2020. Previously, he attended the Bertolt-Brecht-School in Darmstadt and took the advanced courses in English and History. In 2020, he successfully obtained his general university entrance qualification. While still at
school, Christoph discovered his interest in in-depth historical research early on. In 2017, he participated in the German President's History Competition and was awarded a state-level prize for his work on the local resistance of religious groups against the National Socialist regime. Christoph subsequently continued this interest through another research project on biographies of victims of National Socialism. Christoph successfully completed his intermediate examination (Zwischenprüfung) in his second
semester. He expects to complete the acquisition of the advanced certificates at the end of his fourth semester. Through an internship at the Regional Court in Darmstadt in February 2022, Christoph was able to gain initial experience in legal practice. With another internship in summer 2022 at the law firm FPS Partnerschaftsgesellschaft von Rechtsanwälten, he will gain further insight into business law topics. In addition, Christoph will deepen his knowledge of Legal English by spending two weeks abroad in England in summer 2022. After participating in the 30th Vis Moot in the fifth semester, Christoph will complete his major studies (Schwerpunktbereichsstudium) in the field of "Law and Finance" and start preparing for the First State Examination. Following this, Christoph aims to pursue LL.M studies in England as well as a doctorate. With his participation in the 30th Willem C. Vis Moot Court, Christoph is looking forward to combine his passion for the development of complex issues with new experiences in the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and international arbitration. Next to his mother tongue, Christoph speaks English confidently and also acquired the Latinum in his school days. He spends his spare time doing triathlon. current politics and historical research.

Meet our Mootie Claire: Claire Meyer has been studying law at Goethe University Frankfurt since summer semester 2020. She earned her general university entrance qualification in 2019 at the Geschwister Scholl-Gymnasium in Stuttgart, taking advanced courses in French, English, and social studies.
Claire successfully completed the intermediate exam (Zwischenprüfung) after the third semester and aims to complete the advanced exercises (Fortgeschrittenenübung) in summer
2022. After her participation in the 30th Vis Moot Court, Claire will begin preparing for the
First State Examination. Claire has already been able to gain practical experience outside of the university setting.
During her school years, she volunteered for the Youth Community Council of the City of
Stuttgart, where she served as the chairperson of her district on the Stuttgart City Council, focusing in particular on projects such as refugee and homeless assistance and sustainability.

Meet team member Lea: Lea Berwein has been studying law at Goethe University Frankfurt since October 2020. During her school time, she was already able to gain international experience and promote cultural exchange as an exchange student and scholar of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange at a high school in the State of Ohio. After her return to Germany, she attended the Grimmelshausen-Gymnasium Gelnhausen, where she received her general university entrance qualification with the highest possible average grade of 1.0.
Lea successfully passed her intermediate examination (Zwischenprüfung) in the second
semester. With her participation in the 30th Willem C. Vis Moot Court 2022/2023 in her fifth semester, she will complete her major studies (Schwerpunktbereichsstudium)
“Internationalization and Europeanization of Law” and thereafter begin preparing for the First State Examination.

Meet the new Mooties: Dieses Jahr werden Frieder Merz, Lea Berwein, Paula Leuschner, Claire Meyer, Christoph Dudek und Jasmin Lena Müller (nicht abgebildet) die Goethe-Universität Frankfurt im 30. Willem C. Vis Moot Court vertreten. Unterstützt werden sie dabei von ihren Coaches Josephine Uhlig, Jonice Tischer und Moritz Grahlher.
