The distilling course, one of the exciting elective subjects at Faculty III: Health, Medical & Life Sciences, has been successfully completed. The aroma of Swiss water pears has been captured, a wealth of practical knowledge has been gathered, and many new experiences have been gained. A great example of the diversity and practical relevance of studying at HFU!

"Werkschau" and Media Night at HFU 🎬🎮

At this year's exhibition "Werkschau", students from the HFU School of Design and Media presented their projects and final theses from the 2025/26 winter semester. And once again, there was plenty to discover! Visitors were able to immerse themselves in the world of media and try out exciting works – from audiovisual productions and interactive technologies to games and immersive experiences.

The subsequent MediaNight featured short films, project videos, and much more. The award ceremony and live music created a real Oscar atmosphere in the evening. ✨

Exchange on aging 🖼️

In the current exhibition at the StattMuseum, the HFU's KImAge project is showing pictures that depict individual encounters with aging. Many interested people came to the exhibition opening and exchanged their experiences with aging.

“Images of aging influence how we see ourselves and others, and indeed how healthy we are and how long we live. This is still not widely known, which is why we want to discuss it with young and old alike,” explains HFU professor and project leader Dr. Verena Klusmann-Weißkopf.

Health Day at HFU ⚕️🩺

At the end of the semester, Building O once again became a meeting place for everyone interested in health: Students from the Applied Health Sciences (B. Sc), Applied Health Promotion (M. Sc), and Midwifery Science (B. Sc) presented their research projects and theses.

Workshops, poster sessions, and lively discussions showcased the diversity of health sciences – and how practical our learning and research is. In addition to new insights, the program also included a farewell to the graduates. Thank you to everyone who attended!
