Since 2003, Welcome@TUHH has offered assistance for all international students of TUHH and making Hamburg a home away from home!

Dear international students: Welcome to the Hamburg University of Technology! Our Integration Program for international students Welcome@TUHH , has existed since 2003, offers you assistance at the beginning of your studies at the TUHH. This program also accompanies you through your whole degree program and helps you to integrate into the campus community more easily. The program is supported by in

ternational student tutors who are very well acquainted with both studying at the TUHH and living in Hamburg and who accompany you to orientation and cultural activities, international meetings and offer you a chance of joining a study group. Welcome@TUHH means:
- You can communicate with people of your own age; Welcome tutors will share their own experiences with you.
- You can gain from intercultural exchange between various nationalities on the TUHH campus.
-You can discuss problems in a casual atmosphere
-You can get help and support in unbureaucratic way

🌍 Share your language at the TUHH Sommerfest on June 17th! 🌞

On June 17th, we would love to offer short language taster sessions at our International Affairs stall—and we're looking for volunteers!

Share your language in a fun 15-minute session: teach a few greetings, useful phrases, tongue twisters, songs, fun facts, or anything else you'd like to introduce. No teaching experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm and creativity. ✨

Expect a small group of around 5–10 curious visitors.

Diversity is part of everyday life – but how aware are we of it?

In this interactive workshop, you will explore your own perspectives, reflect on unconscious biases, and learn practical ways to foster respect in everyday life at university and beyond. 😀

📆 Saturday, 30 May, 10am - 5 pm.

Open to all TUHH students! Participants will receive a certificate of participation issued by InterCultur Hamburg, who will facilitate the training.

Ever wondered how different cultures influence our daily lives. Join our intercultural mini workshops—open to all TUHH students! Each session dives into a different aspect of studying and living in an international environment. 😀🌏

Our next session, “Culture Shock,” takes a closer look at the surprises, challenges, and adjustments that come with encountering new cultures. Through fun activities, discussions, and short exchange formats, we’ll share experiences, reflect on different perspectives, and learn from each other.

OpenCulture - Discover art and culture together! 🖼️🎭🎨📖💃🪇

Whether it’s musicals, street art, opera, visual arts or cuisine – you decide the themes. Workshops, excursions or hands-on activities: anything is possible. 🤗

An open meet-up in the Art Room for all students and staff interested in art, creativity and intercultural exchange. Together, we’ll choose topics we’d like to explore and discover Hamburg’s vibrant cultural scene.

Here you’ll have the chance to meet new people, get creative together and come up with your own ideas for artistic activities on campus.

A great start to our new series, “Hamburg entdecken & Deutsch lernen".🤩
We spent a lovely afternoon at the Kunsthalle—exploring its most famous painting, seeing artwork larger than some Hamburg apartments, and creating our own stories inspired by the artorks.
There was plenty of laughter, a lot of art, and plenty of German practice along the way. Thank you to everyone who joined.
