✨ Light changes everything.

It reveals the invisible, connects people across the globe, and drives the technologies shaping our future. 🌍💡

On May 16, we celebrate the International Day of Light — and the power of photonics to transform science, communication, medicine, and sustainability by remembering the first successful operation of a laser by Theodore Maiman in 1960.

At the Max Planck School of Photonics, passionate researchers and young talents from around the world are pushing the boundaries of what light can achieve.

🔬 From quantum technologies to ultrafast optics, the future is brighter when we explore it together.

Here’s to curiosity, innovation, and the science that illuminates tomorrow. ✨
