After 1️⃣3️⃣ successful years, the DAAD Exceed-financed phase of the ICDD has ended as of 31.12.22. We thank all our staff, partners & supporters for their key contributions over the past years in the collective quest for 🙏

Ela Bhatt, 89, a noted Gandhian and renowned founder of the Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) and leading woman empowerment activist passed away.

Our heartfelt condolences to the friends, families and comrades of Ela Bhatt.

In September, Prof. Lisa Carstensen was appointed as professor for Global Political Economy of under Consideration of Relations at the University of Kassel. She has also been confirmed as the new Executive Director as of October 2022.
