• Meet our expert: Jan-Hendrik Holst

After completing his business studies at Leuphana University Lüneburg, Jan-Hendrik studied Serial Producing at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg ( Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg ) , to which he remains deeply connected until today. He started his career in international film production at Letterbox/Studio Hamburg and NDF, producing co-productions like the historical drama series "Davos 1917."

He was early to grasp AI's massive implications - for film production and society as a whole. Recognizing there was no way around this transformation, he dove headfirst into the field and has been deeply immersed in AI and innovation ever since.

Today, as Innovation Manager at Gebr. Heinemann, a large international organization, he explores, develops, and scales AI and innovation initiatives, steering projects with technology partners and startups, always focused on real-world business implications. His passion is connecting creativity, business, and technology to drive meaningful innovation. This role gives him the opportunity to dive deeper into the field and continuously build knowledge in this incredibly fast-moving field that requires constant attention. Knowledge he gladly shares.

Outside of his innovation work, you'll find him behind the stove, on his road or motorbike, or engaged in voluntary work.

NEUER DIREKTOR DER FABW STEHT FEST:

DR. ANDREAS BAREISS ÜBERNIMMT AB MAI

Alea iacta est: Der Aufsichtsrat der FABW hat Dr. Andreas Bareiss (im Bild links mit Staatssekretär Arne Braun) zum neuen Direktor der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg bestimmt. Er übernimmt die Aufgabe am 1. Mai von Prof. Thomas Schadt und bringt dafür viel internationale Erfahrung und hervorragende Kenntnisse der Medienbranche mit. Die FABW kennt er gut: Zu seiner Vita zählen u.a. die Teilnahme am Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris und eine Tätigkeit als Dozent an der Filmakademie seit 2017.

Happy to see former participant of International Producing Julian Haisch among the 13 emerging producers selected for the upcoming ACE TRAINING DAYS NL 2024!

We're excited to announce the 13 emerging producers from The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg selected to participate in ACE Training Days NL 2024.

This workshop takes place from 8 – 10 October 2024 in Leiden & Amsterdam and is focused on “The Essentials of International Co-Production”.
