Today we introduce you to the challenge WEBER Packaging GmbH gave to our students.

The team spent a lot of time putting themselves in the shoes of the target groups, and in the end, they focused on saving food from being wasted. The idea of minimizing food waste from food retailers and food processing companies is solved by a platform that provides a solution for flexible distribution to the sectors where the goods are needed quickly!
Take a look at a few impressions from their presentation.

Once again, thank you to WEBER Packaging GmbH for the insightful collaboration.

Our second challenge for this semester's iPDP came from ECsens.

After many iterations, the team generated a fabulous solution around the innovative technology of the company ECsens.
With this solution, testing for viruses is as accurate as PCR testing but easier to use, faster, and, most importantly, just as available and easy to use as rapid testing.
Furthermore, the team's solution offers the opportunity to finally put the results of medical examination-results and the control of their personal data in the hands of the patients.

Thank you to our dedicated sponsor ECsens!

iPDP might be over for the students but their solutions will hopefully have a long-term impact on others.

Today we introduce you to the challenge that took our students on a journey within the exciting universe of Refueling thanks to the sponsor Valtech Mobility GmbH.

Through many interviews and iterations, the team discovered that the actual problem is that fueling is still complicated if business people are dependent on a fuel card. Their main goal was to make the unpopular fueling process as easy and seamless as possible for company car drivers.

And that's how "connected" was born, an innovative system that enables the car HMI to make the process of fueling as imperceptible as possible.

Thank you Valtech Mobility GmbH for the exciting challenge and the student team for the hard work and creative spirit.

Team Medicas took it upon themselves to build trust in digital healthcare by introducing us to the DAMU experience. DAMU is the most advanced remote medical consultation solution to see a general practitioner.
In the teams own words: “Everything about a doctor’s visit in a DAMU practice is designed to create trustful, real and human relationships between the doctors, the patients and the technology that connects them.”

Greet your doctor displayed in life size on the large scale screen setup.
Get examined with the digital stethoscope by placing the pebble shape on your chest.
Get your pulse checked by placing your hand on the hand of the doctor and get a real sense of touch.
Use the second camera just like a magnifying glass, to show areas of interest and details to the doctor.
Press the help button to get assistance from on-site personal so you are never left alone.
Those are some of DAMUs carefully crafted interactions, that make the patients feel well examined and taken care of.

Great job and congratulations Team Medicas!

Congratulation to our amazing SUGAR Global Design Innovation Network team on their final concept design and successful EXPO presentation! 🎉

Jennifer Miller, Maximilian Kürschner, Julia Habben, Hannah Braun from inno.space and Hochschule Mannheim - Mannheim University of Applied Sciences and Quentin Lagache, Maylis Stephant and Solo Mahatsindry from D.school Paris de l'École des Ponts ParisTech were challenged by medicas. After 9 months of hard work, many prototypes and tests they conceptualized DAMU - a medical technology kit that enhances possibilities during teleconsultation with a focus on human touch.
With the end of the project, we welcome the students to our future maker alumni community and hope that they will continue to carry the explorative spirit out into the world.

Want to learn more about the team's idea and meet the students? Then check back in the next few days!
