Um ihnen die deutsche Kultur näher zu bringen und interessante Orte in Süddeutschland zu zeigen, planen wir Events und Tagesausflüge für die internationalen Studenten, gemeinsam mit den deutschen Studenten der Hochschule. "Nations together" ist unser Motto mit dem Ziel, den Austauschstudenten eine unvergessliche Zeit in Pforzheim zu bieten und zahlreiche neue Freundschaften zwischen ihnen und den

Preparation:
1. Cut the turmeric nodules and the ginger into small pieces (peeling is not necessary here with organic products)
2. Add the cut turmeric and ginger to boiling water and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes
3. Puree the pieces in the water with a hand blender and let the mixture steep for another two minutes on low heat
4. Add the juice of a large lemon
5. Pour the mixture through a sieve and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Add the juice of a large lemon
6. Pour the mixture through a sieve into a container, so that a clear drink without pieces is created
7. Enjoy the Jamu directly warm, let it cool down and put it in the refrigerator to enjoy it later cold, or warm it up again with hot water and dilute it
8. Add a sweetener of your choice, e.g. agave syrup, if necessary. Agave syrup

1. First, boil a cup of rice.
2. In the meantime, rinse the tofu block in cold water, squeeze dry with a fresh tea towel and cut into small cubes. Then the tofu cubes can be put in a bowl with soy sauce, salt, bell pepper, paprika, turmeric and chili and then fried until crispy.
3. While the tofu is still in the pan, wash all the vegetables and cut into small cubes.
4. Then you can prepare the dressing from 6EL tahini, 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 tablespoons water, juice of half a lime, finely chopped ginger/garlic and a sip of maple syrup.
5. Finally, place the rice in a deep round bowl and scatter the vegetables on top. Serve with the tahini sauce, fresh lime, chili and fresh cilantro and enjoy!

1) First, chop the onions, garlic, a thumb-sized piece of ginger, a handful of coriander (stalked!) and 1 chilli pepper (or less, depending on the desired spiciness) very finely and sauté in a little oil in a pot.
2) After about 3-4 minutes, all the spices can be added with a k**b of butter and sautéed for some time. Make sure that the heat is not too high and that the spices can dissolve in enough oil/butter.
3) In the next step, rinse the chickpeas under cold water and add them to the pot with 750g of strained tomatoes, about 250ml of coconut milk and a sip of water.
4) While the chickpeas are simmering (15-20 min), prepare the rice/pita bread or side dish of your choice. Stir the curry from time to time, season with salt/ pepper/ spices and add a good k**b of butter, the juice of half a lime and fresh coriander just before serving.

For the Curry you need to sauté the onions, garlic and ginger. Add the spices, strained tomatoes and chickpea and let everything simmer for 15 minutes, season to taste and the curry is ready!
Simple, quick, vegan, healthy and incredibly delicious! So what more could you want!

Chickpea pancakes -with oven vegetables and guacamole🤤

1) Cut the sweet potatoes into small sticks and the cauliflower into small florets.
2) Dice the shallot and put it in a large bowl with the other vegetables.
3) Marinate the vegetables with 2 tbsp olive oil, some cumin, cayenne pepper and salt
4) Toss the vegetables well so that some of the marinade sticks to all of them and then place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
5) Bake the vegetables in the oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes, making sure they don't get too dark.
6) In the meantime, mash the avocado with the garlic clove, a little salt, a little lemon juice and half a tablespoon of olive oil in a blender or mash it with a fork to make a guacamole.
7) Add 2 tablespoons of oat milk to thin out the consistency.
8) Chop the coriander or parsley.
9) Now mix the chickpea flour with the ground turmeric, half a teaspoon of salt, some cayenne pepper and cumin and gradually add the oat milk, stirring until a smooth paste is formed.
10) Then you can stir 2/3 of the coriander or parsley into the batter.
11) Fry the pancakes in a hot pan with a little vegetable oil.
12) Serve the pancakes with the oven vegetables, guacamole, some sesame seeds and the remaining coriander/parsley.

The state we are introducing today is the multi-ethnic state of Indonesia.🌺

This state with a population of 260 million inhabitants is impressive in several ways.
There are 17,000 islands of which less than half are inhabited.🏝

The island of Java is the most populous island in the world with 130 million inhabitants and is also home to the capital Jakarta.

In addition, Indonesia is part of the largest volcanic belt in the world, the Pacific Ring of Fire. Some of these volcanoes also belong to the dangerous supervolcanoes
which have the power to wreak havoc on the world.🌋

Indonesia is considered as the state, like our last presented state Mexico, to the 11 emerging states (Next Eleven). By its wealth at nature and cultures it is also a cultural pearl.✨

Finally, one more question: President Widodo wants to move the capital to Borneo.

Spring time is detox time 😇🌿

For this we have a delicious recipe for you ~ a beluga lentil salad.

Sounds delicious? Try it out!✊

That‘s what you need for it:
150g asparagus in spring/Hokkaido pumpkin in autumn
1/2 beet tuber
80g beluga lentils
1/4 red onion
2 handfuls lamb's lettuce
2EL good olive oil vinegar
coriander leaves
some sesame seeds
some cayenne pepper, cinnamon and salt

How to prepare:
Cook the lentils between 25 and 40 minutes, depending on the desired consistency.
Cut the beet and the pumpkin into 2cm pieces and season them in a bowl with olive oil, cinnamon, cayenne pepper and salt.
Put the vegetables on a baking tray and cook them in the oven at 180 degrees (convection oven) for 25 minutes.
Wash and clean the lamb's lettuce.
Arrange the lentils on a deep plate, spread the lamb's lettuce on top and place the oven vegetables in it.
Finally, pour a dressing of your choice over the entire dish and top with sesame seeds.

Mexican Theme

Today’s topic is about the Mexican culture & it’s deep rooted diversity.

Mexico is mainly shaped by Native Mexican culture of the various peoples which have inhabited since thousends of years mixed with spanish-colonial influences, like the Aztec culture around Mexico City or the Mayan culture in the South. Other groups are Zapotec, Mixtec… and many more.

Another important aspect is the Mexican hospitality. People who visit the country are impressed by the mexican helpfulness and hospetility, from which Germany can definitely learn something from.🤝

Thus, in all hospitality, the Mexicans quickly invite you to their home. This is how the words "Mi casa es su casa" came into life.
This holding together is especially evident in times of political and natural hardship, such as with the many hurricanes in Mexico, no matter where one comes from.😊

Outstanding for Mexico is also its beautiful nature - not only with blue crystal beach water.
In the South you can find the famous Cenotes which are caves filled with fresh water. The Mayans threw human sacrifices and treasures into these caves to appease the gods. 🗿

The last fact, that we think is nice to know, is the Asteroid that killed the dinosaurs many years ago. The crazy fact is that it smashed in Mexico. 🎇

✨The economic miracle ✨ is one of the most famous historic events that every German learns in history class. Since it has had a lasting impact on Germany and Europe, we are talking about it today.
Reasons for the economic miracle:

Many assume that Germany was completely destroyed after World War II. That is not completly correct. During the Second World War, the N***s massively expanded production capacities in order to counteract the massive bombing.

After the war, it was possible to quickly ramp up production again. The capital of the USA, which tried to promote the German economy through loans, was also important. The reason was that the Western Allies understood, without an industrialized Germany, the economy across Europe will continue to weaken. Another reason was the recruitment of guest workers from abroad (mainly from Turkey, Italy and Greece). The reason behind this, was that Germany had too few workers. Because at the End of the 1950s there was almost no unemployment.

🙏Healthy Snack Ritual🙏

Today’s recipe idea?
The so called Pav Bhaji from the Indian kitchen. 🇮🇳

Pav Bhaji is a very popular vegetarian street food in India. The Indian vegetable puree is usually eaten together with or on a bun toasted in butter.

How to prepare:

1) Take mixed frozen vegetables (carrot, green peas, tomato, cauliflower) and boil it in a closed vessel for 10-15 mins until they are very soft.
2) In a different vessel heat oil and add 2-3 chopped onions and heat it for 5-10 mins. Then add ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric, pav-bhaji masala (available in Vel supermarket in Pforzheim), garam masala and stir it for 10-15 mins.
3) To this vessel add the softened vegetables prepared in step 1 and continue stiring for 10 mins. With a crusher, start crushing the vegetables to make sure the vegetable pieces are as small as possible.
4) Add 2-3 tablespoons of butter and again stir it for 5 mins.
5) Preparing bread- Heat a pan and put some butter on it and prepare toast breads.
6) Enjoy your lovely Pav-bhaji (Bread-Vegetable gravy) dish.

Climate protection is becoming more important than ever! That is why we chose to draw attention to this event together with remedy e.V.
Earth hour is one of the largest environmental protection campaigns by WWF Deutschland

Lights out, climate protection on!

On March 27 at 8:30 pm, people from all over the world come together to turn off the lights for one hour. 💜💙💛💚🧡❤️🤎🖤

And we want to join in and set an example in times of Corona and with all Nations together ! Are you in?

💡Follow these simple steps💡
1. Turn off the lights at 8:30 pm this Saturday
2. Take a picture or video how you turn off the lights, post it in your story and share it with us at for example a candlelight dinner, a spontaneous night walk, be creative!
Tipp: use sustainable candles made of beeswax or candle leftovers
3. Share with us why you decide to join! To fight against climate change? For a better future?

What about a healthy & energizing snack for in between the lectures?

With these yummy energy balls a good mood snack is safed to give you the necessary energy for concentration & healthy nutrition 🙂

Boost the spring up 🤜🤛

Try them out!

Preparation:

Halve the dates and soak them in water for about 10 minutes to soften them a bit.
Depending on the power of your stand mixer or hand blender, you can chop the cashews a bit with a knife before blending.
Mix all ingredients in a bowl to your desired consistency.
Take a heaping tablespoon of the mixture in your hand at a time and form a bite-sized ball.
Place the cacao nibs on a plate and roll the formed balls through the cocoa.
Put the finished balls in the fridge for min. 10 minutes to get a better firmness.
For storage you can keep the balls covered in the fridge and snack as needed.
