International Summer Campus Potsdam - The smartest summer in Germany! The varied offer includes three program lines for international target groups.

The International Summer Campus is the central platform of the University of Potsdam for short-term programs. This includes subject-specific summer schools, tailor-made programs for partner institutions and intensive German courses for international students. The International Summer Campus Office is responsible for the organization and implementation of the programs which are part of the Internat

ional Summer Campus. As institution of the International Office, the ISCO cooperates with renowned scientists from the University of Potsdam and international partner institutions. Our offers and services are mainly designed for international guests and for partner universities that wish to take courses at the University of Potsdam. Our partner programs are mostly designed in close cooperation with the sending institutions to make them fit their students‘needs and academic requirements. For all of our courses, we work together with experienced professors. This way, we can guarantee the high quality of the courses and thereby ensure a sustainable learning outcome for our participants. We finish all of our course programs with a concluding evaluation to get information on the personal opinion of each participant. These evaluations are the basis of our work as they help us to continuously improve our course offers, and to meet the participants’ expectations more and more precisely.

Today in one week the Sustainable Development Academy will finally begin! 😍🌱

We have planned two weeks full of amazing lectures, talks, workshops and trips!
One of them will be the EUREF Campus: a vibrant innovation hub focused on sustainable urban development and energy efficiency. The whole campus has been achieving the German government‘s CO2 climate protection targets for 2045 since 2014!

We are looking forward to meeting all the participants. See you soon! 💚

The International Summer Academy Sans Souci will start again on August 7th! 😍 We are very excited to welcome all participants and have prepared a few surprises. Are you familiar with the concept of a „Schultüte“? It is a cone filled with small surprises that is given to children at the beginning of school. We are keeping this wonderful tradition at ISAS! Get ready to be surprised by all the great things you will find inside! 🎉🎁

Even though the sun is still shining diligently at the moment, the winter months will soon begin! Here at the International Summer Campus Office, this always means that we are already motivated to start planning next year's programs and also think nostalgically about the summer months.🤩 We had a great summer time with all the wonderful students participating in our German courses and summer schools, and we would like to say a big thank you again! And maybe we will even see each other again next year for our language courses and summer schools at the International Summer Campus Potsdam - we would be very happy! ☀️❤️

Auch wenn die Sonne momentan noch fleißig scheint, fangen doch bald die Wintermonate an! Das bedeutet hier im ISCO immer, dass wir uns schon motiviert in die Planung der Programme im nächsten Jahr stürzen, aber auch ganz nostalgisch an die Sommermonate denken.🤩 Wir hatten eine großartige Sommerzeit mit all den wunderbaren teilnehmenden Studierenden in unseren Deutschkursen und Summer Schools und sagen nochmal ein herzliches Dankeschön! Und vielleicht sehen wir uns ja sogar nächstes Jahr wieder zu unseren Sprachkursen und Summer Schools am International Summer Campus Potsdam – wir würden uns sehr freuen! ☀️❤️

Since Friday our Deutsch(land)kurs Willkommen is running and we are very happy about our 44 participants who want to improve their German language skills during the two weeks of the program and also prepare for their semester abroad at the University of Potsdam. Of course it is also very important for the first days to see and get to know the wonderful campus Neues Palais. 😉

Seit Freitag läuft unser Deutsch(land)kurs Willkommen und wir sind sehr erfreut über unsere 44 Teilnehmenden, welche Ihre Deutschkenntnisse in den zwei Wochen des Programms verbessern möchten und sich zudem auf Ihr Auslandssemester an der Uni Potsdam vorzubereiten. Natürlich ist es dabei auch besonders wichtig für die ersten Tage, auch den wunderbaren Campus Neues Palais zu sehen und kennenzulernen. 😉

Nun geht der Sommer leider schon wieder zu Ende - und somit auch die Sommerprogramme des ISCO. Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß mit allen Teilnehmenden und danken euch für die tolle Zeit.😍 Aber fleißig wie wir sind, sind wir auch schon wieder mitten in den Vorbereitungen für den "Deutsch(land)kurs Willkommen", welcher nächsten Freitag beginnt. Wir freuen uns schon auf die neuen Studierenden und hoffen auf weitere schöne Sonnentage hier in Potsdam!🌞

At the end of last week we unfortunately had to say goodbye to our ISAS participants - the three and a half weeks just went by too fast ☹️But we had the pleasure to look at the great projects from the theater, literature and photography courses in a "results market" and were thrilled!😍 We hope everyone had a wonderful time here in Germany with great new experiences and new friends from all over the world and of course we hope you learned a lot about the German language, culture and history! The ISCO team thanks all of you for your participation in the ISAS 2022 - we would be very happy to see you again in the future 🥰

Ende vergangener Woche mussten wir uns leider schon von unseren ISAS Teilnehmenden verabschieden - die drei einhalb Wochen sind einfach zu schnell vergangen ☹️Wir hatten aber das Vergnügen uns in einem "Ergebnismarkt" die tollen Projekte aus den Theater-, Literatur- und Fotografiekursen anzusehen und waren begeistert von den Ergebnissen!😍 Wir hoffen sehr, alle hatten eine wunderbare Zeit hier in Deutschland mit tollen Erlebnissen und neuen Freunden aus aller Welt und natürlich hoffen wir auch, dass Ihr viel über die deutsche Sprache, Kultur und Geschichte lernen konntet! Das ISCO Team dankt euch allen für die Teilnahme an der ISAS 2022 - wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn wir uns in der Zukunft mal wieder sehen 🥰

Check out our ISAS participants as they diligently picked blueberries 🫐 last weekend during an excursion with us at Spargel- und Erlebnishof Klaistow ! This weekend they are off and can continue to explore Germany on their own! We wish everyone lots of fun and a wonderful weekend! ❤️

Schaut euch unsere ISAS-Teilnehmenden an wie fleißig sie letztes Wochenende Heidelbeeren während einer Exkursion mit uns auf dem Spargel- und Erlebnishof Klaistow gepflückt haben! Last Friday, on the final day of the Sustainable Development Academy, we were able to see the great and creative projects of our participants, who had to find a solution to the challenge "Design a sustainable working and living environment situation on UP-Campus for campus members, with the use of the existing resources". These solutions were developed using the Design Thinking method under the guidance of the HPI Academy GmbH .We were delighted with the ingenuity of our participants, who all successfully completed the program and are sad that this Summer School is now over! 🥹Thank you, dear SDA participants for your creative ideas and your engagement, we hope you had two great weeks and that we will see you again.🥰

Am vergangenen Freitag konnten wir uns am Abschlusstag der Sustainable Development Academy die tollen und kreativen Projekte unserer Teilnehmenden ansehen, welche eine Lösung für die Challenge "Design a sustainable working and living environment situation on UP-Campus for campus members, with the usage of the existing resources” finden sollten. Die Lösungen wurden mit Hilfe der Design-Thinking Methode unter Führung der Academy GmbH entwickelt. Wir waren begeistert vom Einfallsreichtum unserer Teilnehmenden, welche alle erfolgreich das Programm abgeschlossen haben und sind traurig, dass die Summer School nun schon vorbei ist! 🥹Vielen Dank für eure kreativen Ideen und euer Engagement, liebe SDA Teilnehmer*innen, wir hoffen, dass ihr zwei tolle Wochen hattet und dass wir euch wiedersehen werden!🥰

On Monday, our SDA participants had the opportunity to get creative and do handicrafts in a workshop to create more sustainability in their own environment: Under the guidance of the student initiative Ökopaten e.V. ", they all built nesting boxes for local birds. They were able to design them themselves, and as you can see, they turned out beautifully.🥰🐦🌿

Am Montag hatten unsere SDA Teilnehmer*innen die Möglichkeit, sich kreativ und handwerklich in einem Workshop zu betätigen, um mehr Nachhaltigkeit in der eigenen Umgebung zu schaffen: Unter der Anleitung der studentischen Initiative Ökopaten e.V. bauten alle Nistkästen für heimische Vögel.
Diese konnten sie selbst designen und wie man sieht, sind sie wunderschön geworden!🥰🐦🌿

Our 52 participants of the International Summer Academy Sans Souci arrived in Potsdam on Wednesday and are already improving their German language skills and learning more about the city of Potsdam and its sights (and pubs)🥳! We wish you a wonderful time in the next three weeks and hope you will learn a lot! 🥰

Unsere 52 Teilnehmende der Internationalen Sommerakademie Sans Souci sind am letztem Mittwoch in Potsdam angekommen und sind bereits dabei, Ihre Deutschkenntnisse zu verbessern und mehr über die Stadt Potsdam und Ihre Sehenswürdigkeiten (und Pubs) zu lernen!🥳 Wir wünschen euch eine wunderbare Zeit in den nächsten drei Wochen und hoffen, Ihr werdet viel lernen!

Last night, our SDA participants took on the Marshmallow Challenge at Pub à la Pub ! With only one metre of tape, 20 spaghetti, 1 piece of thread and a marshmallow, the groups had to build a tower - and the highest tower wins! A lot of creativity and teamwork was definitely required here, but little works of art were created!💪😍

Gestern Abend stellten sich unsere SDA-Teilnehmerinnen der Marshmallow-Challenge im Pub à la Pub Potsdam! Nur mit einem Meter Tesa, 20 Spaghetti, 1 Mal Faden und einem Marshmallow sollten die Gruppen einen Turm bauen - und der höchste Turm gewinnt! Hier war auf jeden Fall sehr viel Kreativität und Teamwork gefragt, aber es entstanden kleine Kunstwerke! 💪😍
