International collabs in full bloom. 🌸

Around Europe Day, THRO hosted not only the International Night, but also three other big events: Erasmus+ Staff Days, Research Days, and — for the first time — the meeting of the university alliance.

70+ guests from our partner unis across Europe joined us last week to connect and share ideas. Between workshops and sessions, there was also time to explore the surroundings, including a snowy hiking trip in the mountains.

One common goal: Creating new international opportunities for all our students. 🇪🇺

New space for new ideas: Green Office 🌿🌍

Our Climate Protection Management Team has big plans. They are looking for students and uni staff who are interested in establishing a Green Office together - a central hub for sustainability, student projects, and making a real impact on everyday campus life.

Spring is arriving, and so is the new semester at TH Rosenheim. Welcome Days and Orientation Week are behind us, and our campusses are now alive with both new and familiar faces.

Between workshops and info sessions, there was plenty of free time to get to know each other and explore the city and its surroundings – including a trip to Munich’s BMW Welt.

Of course, we also took plenty of group pictures to share with families and friends back home. 😊

Around 1,688 international students are currently studying in Rosenheim – that’s about 22% of all TH students. 🧡

This is Blanca.

She is studying Interior Engineering at TH Rosenheim and just finished her practical semester abroad in Algeria with the company Linder SE. Her position was assistant to project management on the construction site of the new German embassy. 👷‍♀️

Algeria in her opinion has a lot to offer. From the people that are so friendly and have a great hospitality. To the food that sometimes is a bit difficult as a vegetarian but never boring and very affordable. To beautiful nature from beaches to mountains to the desert. Amazing architecture in a Muslim country and the perfect place for cat lovers. 😻❤️

She had the opportunity to live in an amazing apartment provided by the company. She made a lot of friends from different countries during her four month in Algiers. Not everything was easy though, since the culture is very different and being a women alone had its difficulties. Also not speaking French or Arabic of course didn‘t make it easier.

All in all she had a great time and met amazing people in a country unknown to many. 🇩🇿

It means hi and bye in Bavarian, but today it's HI to all our new students! Welcome to our university!

With over 20 % internationals from all around the world, our campus is more global and colourful than ever - and we love it. 🌍✨️

This semester's Orientation Week and Welcome Days were a huge success, with more workshops and events than ever before. From intro sessions and library tours, to ceramics painting, international get-togethers, and of course, a trip to the Oktoberfest in Munich.
