Dear International Q***rs,

Every Second Sunday of the month, we have International Q***r Potlucks where we get together and enjoy the flavors of our home and different cultures! If possible, bring some food that reminds you of your home (or something you love!)

*This meeting is exclusively for international qu**rs.* We hope to create a safe space where people could share their q***r experiences - which could be of joy but also about oppression due to q***rphobia. Hence we call on people who are not of international origin to respect our safe space. We also welcome people who are not completely out, we request those who attend to be mindful and discrete about peers.

Liebe internationale Q***rs,

wir treffen uns immer am zweiten Sonntag des Monats für unser Internationales Q***res Potluck. Wir genießen da die leckeren Speisen unserer Heimatländer und unserer verschiedenen Kulturen! Wenn du kannst, dann bringe Essen mit, das dich an deine Heimat denken lässt. Oder bringe Essen mit, das du liebst.

*Dieses Treffen ist nur für internationale Q***rs.* Wir wollen einen Safe Space machen, in dem Menschen ihre q***ren Erlebnisse teilen können. Das können schöne Erfahrungen sein. Das kann aber auch Unterdrückung und Q***rfeindlichkeit sein. Wir bitten darum alle Menschen, die keinen internationalen Hintergrund haben, unseren Safe Space zu respektieren.

Q***re Menschen, die nicht überall geoutet sind, sind auch willkommen. Darum beachte, wenn du kommst: Bitte sage anderen nicht, wer außer dir zu unserem Treffen kommt.

On the 26th of January, you will have the opportunity to get tested for HIV and other s*xually transmitted diseases at the KHG Café on campus. The testing campaign is being carried out by the AIDS and Sexual Health Advice Centre of the Regionalverband Association's Health Authority in cooperation with Aidshilfe Saar and us, the AK Q***r.
Laboratory tests will be offered as part of the campaign, which is completely free and anonymous. You do not need to make an appointment, just come to the KHG Café (A3.1) between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Depending on demand, there may be waiting times.

Am 26.01. von 11-16 Uhr habt ihr auf dem Campus im KHG Café erneut die Möglichkeit, euch auf HIV und andere s*xuell übertragbare Krankheiten testen zu lassen. Die Testaktion wird durch die Beratungsstelle für Aids und s*xuelle Gesundheit des Gesundheitsamtes des Regionalverband in Kooperation mit der Aidshilfe Saar und uns, dem AK Q***r, durchgeführt.
Im Rahmen der Aktion werden Labortests angeboten, das Ganze ist vollständig kostenlos und anonym. Ihr braucht keinen Termin auszumachen, kommt einfach zwischen 11-16 Uhr zum KHG Café (A3.1). Es kann je nach Nachfrage gegebenenfalls zu Wartezeiten kommen.

TW: anti-trans violence, su***de, death

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance, the annual memorial day for all trans people who were killed by anti-trans violence. The official count of 365 people is – like every year – an enormous undercount since most countries, including Germany, don’t collect data about the number of murdered trans people.
Trans su***des are especially undercounted in these statistics. In this global climate of growing anti-trans moral panic, we have to be especially aware of the social forces that lead trans people to the decision to end their lives. These aren’t personal failures to cope with unbearable living conditions, these people were socially murdered!
We also must not ignore that transfeminized people of color and trans s*x workers are often the primary victims of intersectional oppression and violence, sometimes even from inside their own community. And yet they often lead the fight for liberation. Transmisogyny, racism and whorephobia are lethal and it is urgently necessary that we learn to recognize and fight them – especially in our own community!
Finally, we want to express our deep sympathy with everyone who lost loved ones to anti-trans violence. They deserved to live long and happy lives and nothing can undo the pain their loss has caused. But they’re not completely gone. They live on in our memory and in the ways they touched our lives and relationships.
We will meet today in private to hold space to mourn and remember but also to share our joys and hopes. Please understand though, that we will meet in a safer space without cis people. Zur diesjährigen Trans Awareness Week, 13.11.-19.11.25, feiern wir trans-Identitäten in jeglicher Form! Trans ist ein Sammelbegriff, das heißt, dass es nicht die eine Art gibt, trans zu sein. Unter dem trans-Schirm vereinen sich viele verschiedene Identitäten - noch viele mehr, als sich auf dieser Grafik abbilden lassen. Und während das politische Klima sich für viele unserer trans Geschwister verschlechtert, wird es immer wichtiger, Solidarität, Gemeinschaft und Unterstützung für jede trans Person zu zeigen.

For this years Trans Awareness Week, 13.11.-19.11.25, we celebrate trans-identities of every kind! Trans is an umbrella-term, which means that there is no one way to be trans. A lot of identities gather under this umbrella - even more than we can depict in this graphic. And while the political climate is worsening for many of our trans siblings, it is more important than ever to show solidarity, community and support for every trans person.

This week 23.10-29.10 we celebrate As*xual Awareness Week. We aim to spread awareness since as*xuality and its spectrum, (sometimes called Aspec) can often be misunderstood. Generally, as*xual people feel little to no s*xual attraction towards other people. However, it's important to remember that as*xuality is a spectrum. There are some as*xual people who do feel some attraction, some have fluctuating attraction towards people whilst others can only feel attraction under certain conditions (for instance having a strong emotional bond with a person).
The term 'Aspec' also includes aromanticism. Aromantic people generally feel little to no romantic attraction towards other people. It is equally a spectrum just like as*xuality is. This means some aromantic people might for instance feel romantic attraction under certain circumstances or have fluctuating romantic attraction.
As*xuality does not mean that you can't have relationships either. There are lots of as*xuals (or aromantic people) who have happy, longlasting and fullfilling relationships!

Unfortunately, as*xual representation is still scarce. If you're looking for a community, feel free to join our monthly Q&A (aro, ace and questioning) -meeting. The next meeting is on the 3rd of November.

We deliberately avoid using the term "lack of... s*xual attraction/romantic attraction" because there still is the assumption that aro and or ace people "lack" something, as if they were missing something. It is important to stress that being on the ace-spectrum is nothing that needs fixing, and that every individual is already whole. Being as*xual does not mean that one is incapable of feeling love. Many as*xual/aromantic people have plenty of love in their lives as love is not restricted to s*xual or romantic love (which again, some as*xuals/aromantics can experience)
