Deutschlands erster Human Computer Interaction Master an der Universität Siegen - Technologien für Menschen gestalten und umsetzen!

Die gute, nachhaltige und mensch-zentrierte Interaktions-Gestaltung ist von zentraler Bedeutung für den Erfolg von sozio-technischen Systemen (Mensch und Maschine). Im HCI Master Siegen wird den Studierenden daher eine solide, breite Basis an Methoden und Techniken für die fundierte Konzeption, Gestaltung und Umsetzung sowie das Testen von IT-Systemen für Menschen vermittelt. Klassische Usability

arbeitet oft eher mit (quantitativen) Laborstudien. In Siegen sind wir der Überzeugung, dass dies nicht ausreicht und den Menschen zu sehr reduziert, weshalb wir unsere Arbeiten insbesondere qualitativ ethnografisch im Feld, das heißt direkt in der Praxis der Nutzer verankern sowie Systeme zusammen mit den diesen gestalten, was wir auch als Grounded Design bezeichnen. Forschung und Lehre sind in Siegen eng verzahnt. Studierende arbeiten oft unmittelbar im Rahmen von Forschungsprojekten, die häufig auch in Zusammenarbeit mit der Industrie durchgeführt werden. Hiermit geht nicht nur eine hohe Forschungsrelevanz und die Möglichkeit zum echten wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten sondern auch eine enge Verzahnung mit der Praxis einher.

Congratulations! The former HCI student project 'Popp' is among the 30 ideas selected for funding in a competition by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. We are excited to see how the idea will be realised and make filter bubbles pop!
