Not all race-winning tech is about speed… some of it is about survival.
After Pierre Gasly’s incident at the Miami Grand Prix, one small detail stood out, the trio of red, white, and yellow tags that could mean the difference between control and chaos.
🔴 The Neutral Override isn’t just a button, it’s a mechanical failsafe. Even with total system failure, it physically disconnects the drivetrain so the car can be safely moved without destroying the gearbox.
⚪ The Master Kill Switch does two things instantly: deploys fire suppression and shuts down the high-voltage ERS system, isolating the battery and eliminating electrical risk.
🟡 The High Voltage Warning is a silent alarm, reminding marshals they could be dealing with up to 1000V. The car itself signals if it’s safe… or dangerous to touch.
In Formula One, safety isn’t an afterthought, it’s engineered into every millimetre.
