★★ انطلاق مبادرة "جامعة مستدامة" بجامعة الإسكندرية لترشيد استهلاك الطاقة
فى إطار توجيهات الدكتور عبد العزيز قنصوة وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، نحو تفعيل دور الجامعات فى ترشيد الطاقة لمواجهة أزمة الطاقة العالمية، وتحت رعاية الدكتور أحمد عادل عبد الحكيم القائم بأعمال رئيس جامعة الإسكندرية، تعلن جامعة الإسكندرية عن إطلاق مبادرة "جامعة مستدامة: تحدي ترشيد الطاقة"، تحت شعار "فكّر.. وفّر.. غيّر"، وذلك بمشاركة طلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والعاملين بمختلف كليات ومعاهد الجامعة، بهدف خلق بيئة تفاعلية تجمع منتسبى الجامعة، للمساهمة بفاعلية في بناء مستقبل أكثر استدامة.
وأوضحت الدكتورة عفاف العوفي، نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، أن قطاع خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بالجامعة، قد أطلق هذه المبادرة استجابةً للتحديات المتزايدة في مجال الطاقة، لافتة أن المبادرة تهدف إلى ترشيد استهلاك الطاقة داخل الحرم الجامعي من خلال تبنّي أفكار مبتكرة وحلول عملية قابلة للتطبيق، وأشارت د. العوفى إلى أن المبادرة تسعى إلى نشر ثقافة الاستخدام الرشيد للطاقة وتعزيز الوعي البيئي بين جميع منتسبي الجامعة، موضحة أن المبادرة تتيح الفرصة لتقديم مشروعات وأفكار متنوعة تشمل أنظمة ذكية لإدارة الطاقة، وحلولًا للاعتماد على مصادر الطاقة المتجددة، إلى جانب حملات توعوية وممارسات تطبيقية تسهم في خفض الاستهلاك، بما يدعم تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة، وأضافت أن تقييم المشاركات سيتم على مستوى الكليات وفقًا لمعدلات خفض استهلاك الطاقة، مع تكريم الكلية الأكثر كفاءة، فضلًا عن دعم وتمويل الأفكار المتميزة والعمل على تنفيذها على أرض الواقع، من خلال الـتكنولوجى بارك بجامعة الإسكندرية.

Launch of the “Sustainable University” Initiative at Alexandria University to Rationalize Energy Consumption
In line with the directives of Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to activate the role of universities in rationalizing energy consumption and addressing the global energy crisis, and under the patronage of Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, the university has announced the launch of the “Sustainable University: Energy Saving Challenge” initiative under the slogan “Think… Save… Change.”
The initiative invites students, faculty members, and staff across all faculties and institutes to participate, aiming to create an interactive environment that brings together members of the university community to actively contribute to building a more sustainable future.
Dr. Affaf Al-Oufy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, stated that the initiative was launched by the university’s Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in response to the growing challenges in the energy field. She explained that the initiative aims to rationalize energy consumption on campus through the adoption of innovative ideas and practical, applicable solutions.
She further noted that the initiative seeks to promote a culture of efficient energy use and enhance environmental awareness among all university affiliates. It provides an opportunity to submit diverse projects and ideas, including smart energy management systems, renewable energy solutions, as well as awareness campaigns and practical applications that contribute to reducing consumption—supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals.
Dr. Al-Oufy added that submissions will be evaluated at the faculty level based on energy consumption reduction rates. The most efficient faculty will be recognized, while outstanding ideas will receive support and funding, with efforts made to implement them on the ground through the Alexandria University Technology Park.
