𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐉. 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐌𝐃, 𝐅𝐀𝐀𝐎𝐒 – Expertise in hand surgery & complex hand care

Dr. John J. Faillace is an Associate Professor of Hand Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), with extensive experience in the management of traumatic and complex conditions affecting the hand and wrist.

His clinical expertise includes traumatic hand injuries, congenital hand abnormalities, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, rheumatoid arthritis, thumb base arthritis, Dupuytren’s contracture, and minimally invasive wrist arthroscopy.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has held several academic and leadership positions, including Chief of Orthopaedic Hand Surgery and Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He has also served as an Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon within the U.S. Army medical system.

Based at the prestigious Niguarda Great Metropolitan Hospital in Milan, Italy—one of Europe's leading Level I Trauma Centers—Dr. Talamonti is internationally recognized for his expertise in complex fractures, bone infections, non-unions, deformity correction, and limb reconstruction.

Following advanced training in Italy and France under renowned orthopedic pioneers, including Prof. Thierry Bégué and Prof. Alain Charles Masquelet, he has built a distinguished career dedicated to managing the most challenging orthopedic trauma cases.

Currently serving as Chairman of the Chinese Bone Transport & Diabetic Foot Society and Secretary General of both ASAMI China and ILLRS China, Professor Zhang is one of the world's leading authorities in limb reconstruction, external fixation, and bone transport surgery.

A Consultant Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom, Mr. Zaidi is recognized for his expertise in total ankle replacement, complex foot reconstruction, and minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery.

Combining exceptional clinical practice with cutting-edge research, he earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from University College London, focusing on outcomes in total ankle arthroplasty—helping shape the future of ankle replacement surgery.

As a leading clinical researcher, he has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and serves as Principal Investigator for landmark studies, including the renowned TARVA trial, advancing evidence-based care in foot and ankle surgery.

We are delighted to announce the participation of Dr. Giovanni Lovisetti (Italy) as a distinguished international speaker at our conference.

A former Director of the Orthopedic Unit at Menaggio Hospital, Italy, Dr. Lovisetti dedicated more than two decades to leading one of the country's respected orthopedic departments before transitioning to private practice in 2025.

Widely recognized for his expertise in circular external fixation and the Ilizarov method, he trained directly under the legendary Prof. Maurizio Catagni, becoming one of Europe's leading authorities in the management of complex fractures, limb reconstruction, and post-traumatic deformities.

With experience treating more than 500 patients using circular external fixation, his work has significantly advanced the treatment of complex tibial fractures, bone transport, nonunions, and limb salvage procedures.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Lovisetti has authored 83 scientific publications, with numerous PubMed-indexed papers receiving more than 500 international citations, reflecting the global impact of his clinical research.

His leadership extends beyond clinical practice, having served as President of the Italian Society of External Fixation (S.I.F.E.) and currently leading its Scientific Committee, while actively contributing to the advancement of limb reconstruction worldwide.
