The Arab Organization for Industrialization expressed its appreciation for the leading role of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in supporting international partnerships and advancing Arab cooperation.

Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, extended a letter of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar for the Academy’s valuable efforts in facilitating the organization’s access to a grant from the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics & Trade (KIET).

The letter highlighted the strong strategic partnership between both institutions and praised their ongoing collaboration in supporting development, technology, and industrial innovation across the Arab region.

Port Said Gets a New Visual Identity 🎨

In a strategic step toward urban development, Port Said Governorate is collaborating with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport to redefine the city’s visual identity and enhance its public spaces.

During an official meeting, Governor Ibrahim Abu Limon and Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar discussed leveraging the Academy’s expertise to transform key locations—such as major squares and landmarks—into artistic, culturally rich spaces that reflect Port Said’s historical character.

The Academy presented a comprehensive vision focused on highlighting the city’s heritage while improving its aesthetic and touristic appeal. Immediate coordination has already been initiated to develop prominent areas, including public squares and gardens in Al-Sharq district.

A formal cooperation protocol is also underway, aiming to support future development projects through technical consultancy, research expertise, and specialized training programs.

Advancing Cybersecurity Education with Fortinet 🔐

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport has officially launched a state-of-the-art Information Security Lab at its Alexandria campus, in collaboration with Fortinet.

This strategic step strengthens the Academy’s leadership in digital transformation and cybersecurity education, offering students access to real-world simulation environments powered by advanced technologies such as next-generation firewalls, network systems, and integrated cybersecurity solutions.

The lab enables hands-on training through realistic scenarios—including cyberattack simulations, network defense strategies, and incident response—bridging the gap between academic learning and industry demands.

As part of this partnership, the Academy now delivers globally recognized Fortinet NSE certifications, equipping students with in-demand skills and enhancing their competitiveness in the global job market.

Exploring Global Opportunities with the University of Northampton 🇬🇧

As part of its commitment to expanding international partnerships, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, led by H.E. Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, paid an official visit to University of Northampton to strengthen and expand academic collaboration.

The visit included renewing the existing agreement and exploring new areas of cooperation, particularly in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, aligning with the evolving demands of the global job market.

The partnership also opens new opportunities for engineering and computer science students, including summer programs and potential postgraduate pathways such as MBA and DBA programs—empowering students with global exposure and future-ready skills.

From Sohag to Assiut and Minya… an inspiring journey across the heart of Upper Egypt.

During the tour, we had the pleasure of meeting many amazing students, answering their questions, and providing information about the Academy’s internationally accredited programs.

The Academy Admission Team – Cairo Campus began the tour in Sohag on April 19 at Sohag Engineers Club, continued in Assiut on April 21 at Royal Gate Hotel, and concluded in Minya on April 23 at Grand Aton Hotel & Resort.
