Join us at Nile University on 17 August for an insightful talk with Dr. Haithem Taha, Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Irvine.

The session titled “Towards a New School in Aerodynamics: Fluid Mechanics as a Minimization Problem” will explore a fresh perspective on fluid mechanics through the Principle of Minimum Pressure Gradient (PMPG), introducing a variational approach to flow, lift, separation, and computational fluid dynamics.

Dr. Taha’s research spans unsteady aerodynamics, theoretical mechanics, variational principles, and unconventional flight mechanics. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award and an AIAA Associate Fellow.

Celebrating Innovation in Electrical and Computer Engineering!

Nile University proudly recognized the outstanding achievements of our first-year Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) students in the Digital Logic Design (ECE121) course.

Throughout the semester, students applied the principles of digital logic to develop innovative projects, including a Voting System and a Smart Parking System. One exceptional team took their project a step further by designing and printing their own PCB, transforming their idea into a fully manufactured circuit board.

The course was taught by Dr. Noha Zaky and Dr. Doha Hamza, while the recognition ceremony was hosted by the Program Director, Dr. Ahmed Madian.

Congratulations to all our students for their creativity, dedication, and outstanding work. This is just the beginning of your engineering journey!

The IM-AQT project has created a standout exemplar program—Architecture and Urban Design at Nile University (ARUD)—now recognized in the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Network’s first publication of schools in Architecture and Urban Planning.

ARUD at Nile University was selected as an EXEMPLAR program by Erasmus+, for integrating architecture with the different scales of urban planning, emphasizing learning through real projects, and linking education to international urban policy.

Founded in 2018, ARUD was developed through a consortium of European and Egyptian universities through the co-funded Erasmus+ project IMPAQT. This people-centered, multidisciplinary, multi-scale program continues to be documented, and celebrated within the UfM’s 2026 publication, International Knowledge Exchanges in Architecture and Urban Planning.
