In collaboration with the EGSA- Egyptian Space Agency وكالة الفضاء المصرية , Brilliant Remote Sensing Labs is proud to have trained a distinguished group of university students, equipping them to take their first steps in the field of remote sensing and satellite image analysis.
We delivered a training program titled “The Remote Sensing Specialist Preparation Certificate” at the Egyptian Space Academy in the Space City, New Cairo, during the mid-year academic break.
The program covered the fundamentals of remote sensing and included hands-on practical training using , one of the world’s leading software applications in this field, developed by the global company Hexagon SIG, which specializes in geospatial software and technology solutions. Participating students were awarded accredited certificates issued by the Egyptian Space Agency.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian Space Agency, its affiliated entities, and the certificates it issues are accredited by several official accreditation bodies. Students’ certificates bear three small logos reflecting the quality standards applied by the awarding authority, as follows:
• COFRAC: The French Accreditation Committee. Its logo indicates that certificates issued by the Egyptian Space Agency are supported by official accreditation, ensuring the efficiency and quality of examinations and training.
• EN 9100 (EN/AS/JISQ 9100): A highly specialized quality management system standard for the aviation, space, and defense sectors. Its presence confirms that the training aligns with the strict standards of these sensitive industries.
• AFNOR Certification (AFAQ): A globally recognized French certification body specializing in ISO certifications, indicating that the Egyptian Space Agency follows internationally recognized quality standards.
Students also received course completion certificates issued by Brilliant Remote Sensing Labs, as an authorized training and education development partner of Hexagon Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial.
At the conclusion of the training program, students expressed their happiness and the significant benefits they gained from the experience. They had the opportunity to apply what they learned to real satellite imagery within a working environment similar to actual satellite image reception and analysis units.
Finally, we look forward to repeating this unique experience with the Egyptian Space Academy on a broader scale during the end-of-year academic break, enabling a larger segment of Egyptian university students to participate in this training level and to continue through advanced levels—from RS Professional to RS Solution Developer.
We will soon publish students’ testimonials sharing their opinions and impressions of this exceptional educational experience.
