With the deepest grieve and utmost sorrow that SU Cairo Chapter sends the sincere condolences and respect to all Khaled Bichara’s family and loved ones. The CEO of Orascom and the first believer of and true supporter to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, Bichara was the core source of letting the SU Global Impact Challenge (GIC) competition come to the light at El Gouna TU Berlin last July 2019.

It is because of him that most of the stout businessmen in Egypt have turned their attention towards the startups and entrepreneurs as he believed “that entrepreneurs are our best bet for a better future.”, as was said in his interview with ElWatan Newspaper.

The world, Egypt and the startup community lost a very dedicated and inspiring figure. We mourn the death of Khaled Bichara and are devastated by this very heart breaking news of loosing one of Egypt's most esteemed figures in the business.

Khaled, you were beyond inspiring and influential that would actually be an understatement. You will be missed but will never be forgotten and will remain to be a force behind working harder smarter and wiser.
