EconoWin EconoWin works on improving female economic participation in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia.

Together with partners from civil society, governmental institutions as well as companies, EconoWin works on improving female economic participation in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia. Jointly with 30 partner organisations in the four countries, EconoWin is active in four areas:

(1) ANA HUNNA – Promoting the role of women in economies
(2) Gender Diversity Management (GDM)
(3) Gender Sensitive

Value Chains (GSVC)
(4) Female Mentoring



1. ANA HUNNA promotes the importance of women’s participation in the world of work
ANA HUNNA started with a film and media raising awareness about the importance of women’s’ contribution for the economy and society of a country. “Women are self-determined, active and powerful” - this motto emerged in a wide spread movement all over the four countries and triggered a wide public discussion on the topic. The ANA HUNNA movement will emerge in sustainable structures in 2017.

2. Gender Diversity Management (GDM) applied in companies
Selected companies are supported in the design and implementation of their management of Gender Diversity. Through the cooperation with business associations, the approach is further spread and becomes widely known in the private sector. The activity is implemented through the project of

Employment Promotion of Women through Gender Diversity Management in the MENA region which is part of the Special Initiative Stabilisation and Development in the Middle East and North Africa.

3. Gender Sensitive Value Chain (GSVC) fosters economic empowerment of women in rural areas
Improving the economic position and livelihoods of women in rural areas is the goal of EconoWin’s Gender Sensitive Value Chain approach. Jointly with OXFAM, the approach was developed in 2012 to identify women’s roles in the production process, the challenges they face and means to maximize their potentials to increase productivity and competitiveness.

4. Professional Orientation through Female Mentoring
The transition from university to adequate career opportunities for women is often hampered by socio-cultural barriers. Universities and companies are supported by the project in creating mentoring systems for women. Women with successful careers act as mentors for one year, staying in touch with a female student who is preparing for her own start in work. The programme EconoWin is commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Germany and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. We support the German Government in the fields of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education. Through our work we assist people and societies in shaping their own future and improving living conditions.

Nous félicitons deux fois le programme "Promoting Female Talent" :

40 étudiantes sélectionnées dans les domaines des sciences, de la technique, de l'ingénierie et des mathématiques ont réussi ! Elles ont terminé avec succès le programme "Promoting " en novembre 2021. Ces jeunes femmes, ont derrière elles, une année durant laquelle elles ont continuellement développé leurs compétences et ont été coachées par les neuf entreprises participantes afin de construire leur carrière dès le début. Nous leurs souhaitons bonne chance !

Le programme est le fruit d'une coopération réussie entre les universités, les grandes écoles tunisiennes et les entreprises Bosch, , , , , , Inc. Tunisie, , .

Ce programme connait un tel succès, que "Promoting Female Talent" a été sélectionné comme finaliste parmi 155 candidats du monde entier qui s'engagent pour la représentation des femmes dans la technologie, pour le prix 2021 d’ Equals in Tech.

La cérémonie de remise des prix aura lieu le 9 décembre. Nous croisons les doigts !

Le programme « Promoting Female Talent » est soutenu conjointement à travers le projet « Promotion de l'emploi de jeunes femmes par la gestion de la diversité de genre de l'entreprise dans la région MENA » et le projet « » avec le soutien de l’Initiative spéciale Formation et emploi - « Invest for Jobs » dans le cadre du Digital Transformation Center Tunisia, mandaté par le Ministère fédéral allemand de la coopération économique et du développement (BMZ).

أحرزت 40 شابة تونسية عن جدارة شهادة ختم التكوين في الدورة الثالثة من برنامج "تنمية المواهب النسائية". 💪👏🎉
إستمرت هذه الدورة لمدة سنة كاملة وهي تتمثل في ورشات عمل و تمارين عملية لتطوير المهارات الشخصية و المهنية لتأهيلهن للحياة المهنية . تدعم تسع شركات هذا البرنامج و هم و و Ernt&Young و و و و . يندرج برنامج "تنمية المواهب النسائية" تنظيمه في إطارمشروع "تعزيز توظيف الشابات من خلال إدارة التنوع بين الجنسين في الشركات في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا" و تم تنظيم دورات التكوين بدعم من مبادرة "الاستثمار من أجل التشغيل" التابعة للوزارة الاتحادية للتعاون الاقتصادي والتنمية (BMZ).

40 junge tunesische Frauen haben erfolgreich die dritte Ausgabe des ein Jahr dauernden zertifizierten Programms „Promoting Female Talent“ beendet. Neben Workshops und weiteren spielerischen und praktischen Formaten, die dem Aufbau von Soft Skills und eines Karrierenetzwerks dienten, unterstützen vor allem neun Partnerunternehmen im Rahmen von Mentoring die jungen Frauen dabei, sich optimal auf Ihre Karriere vorzubereiten.

Das Programm ist das Ergebnis einer erfolgreichen Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Partnerunternehmen Bosch, Deloitte, Ernt & Young, OneTech, GFI Software, Orange, HP Inc. Tunesien, Vermeg, Wevioo und den von der GIZ geförderten Karriere- und Kompetenzzentren verschiedener tunesischer Hochschulen. Es findet im Rahmen des "Förderung der Beschäftigung junger Frauen durch Gender Diversity Management in Unternehmen in der MENA-Region" und mit Unterstützung der Sonderinitiative Bildung und Beschäftigung - "Invest for Jobs" des Deutschen für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) statt.
