Hey y'all.
While prepping for the SAT is not everybody's favorite activity, it IS necessary for admissions into some colleges. 🏫
So, to do well on the test, some level of prep is necessary. In fact, many families have had their children prepping for the SAT since first grade. 👶🍼🏫Fortunately, it is absolutely possible to earn a competitive SAT score without a decade worth of prep. 😉
However, without preparation, taking this 3 hour test is a waste your time and money; so, plan and prep thoroughly.
The College Board's website is FULL of useful information for the college bound student.
But, did you also know that there are colleges and universities eliminating standardized tests like the ACT or SAT? They are enacting a "test optional" policy. ✍📖📚
But wait... before you get too excited, you must know that "test optional" does not mean "easy entry"; students must still have a STRONG application. The words "test optional" allows the COVID era student to focus on developing other parts of their college application in order to earn their admissions.
The college landscape is ever evolving. And keep it up with it all can have families in a frenzy. 😵💫
What do you think about colleges and universities being "test optional"? Do you think standardized tests are necessary for college entry or nah? 🧐🤓
