Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science - BUE Our graduates to be globally recognized as leaders and innovators. Among them were the first graduates of Informatics and Computer Science.

The Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science seeks to be the centre of excellence for knowledge, creation and dissipation as a model for academic cooperation across boundaries. In autumn 2009, the British University in Egypt celebrated the graduation of its first cohort. They were nine graduates – six in Computer Science specialization and 3 in Information Systems specialization. Today, ICS has

181 students in the Preparatory Year. Now there are four active specializations; Computer Science & Information Systems launched in 2009, Computer Networks launched in 2010 and Software Engineering launched in 2009. In addition the ICS master of science degree programme started in September 2011 and currently has 14 registered students. Currently, the Faculty has 20 Teaching Assistants and 12 full time Academic Staff members.

Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science would like to congratulate each of Mohamed Hossam Mosalhy Senior Political Science student, Mahmoud Mohamed Senior Informatics and Computer Science student, Omar Abobaker Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Political Science and EX Vice President of MAL, for the major contribution to raise our University’s name and initiate an Integrated Model for the first time.

Introducing the idea of the Model of Arab League (MAL) to our University after suggesting it in a workshop training conducted at the Arab League itself with the aim of direct involvement of students in a comprehensive activity that supports them with knowledge about the role of mechanism of the Arab League.

Along their success, the League of Arab States supported our colleagues to build an integrated model for this entity to now involve 9 Egyptian Private and Public Universities under the name of LASIM (League of Arb States Integrated Model). Our pride stands in the major role of our students being the founders and the main coordinators of this model. In addition, the ICS student Mahmoud Mohamed with his skills and commitments, built the official Website for LASIM to be the first and main social media platform for this entity. It will be soon available with all its features incorporated to facilitate the communication between LASIM and the public.

Mr.Mohammed Farid Khamis, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, honoured these Students and staff.

The honouring was attended by Professor Wadouda Badran, BEAPS, Professor Othman Ibrahim, ICS vice Dean, and the Ambassador Dr. Mahmoud Karem, Director of the Center of Egypt and Middle East Studies.
