Black Student Association at the American University in Cairo Diversity. Harmony. Respect. Therefore address issues, and showcasing the imagery and presence of the Black man and Black woman.

*The Black Student Association (BSA) is a group of graduate students aiming to bring diversity awareness to AUC;

*Addressing and helping to facilitate the alleviation of any issues which manifest racial and cultural misunderstandings;

* Bringing awareness to all members of the AUC community, who are interested in learning, exercising and enhancing their knowledge of Black cultures.

* Providing

an intellectual, cultural and social environment that fosters academic excellence and promotes cultural awareness among its members and greater Egyptian and Global communities;

* Encouraging a positive image of Black African Heritage, and peoples;

* Sharing and building up the cultures of Black communities in AUC, Egypt, Africa and worldwide;

* Embracing the term “Black” as a means to acknowledge all cultures of Black African ancestry.

*The BSA is also based on the balance between the Black feminine and Black masculine principles.
