Role:
Requirements gathering.
Designing, developing and testing software in C / C++/ VHDL on embedded systems.
Designing practical solutions to technical problems.
Producing clear and concise documentation such as
Software requirements specification document.
Software design document.
Test plan document.
Integrating and testing functionality with other parts of the system.
Interacting with the hardware team.
Debugging and fault finding.
Essential qualifications:
B.Sc. of Computer engineering or Communication and Electronics engineering.
0 – 2 years of experience.
Experience of programming using C/C++ programming languages or Hardware Description
Languages (VHDL/Verilog).
Strong background in embedded systems.
Good knowledge in RTOS.
Ability to understand hardware datasheets.
Desirable qualifications:
Ability to understand schematics and layout.
Good knowledge in HDL and FPGA.
PCB development.
MATLAB experience.
Experience working with ARM processors and microcontrollers.
Experience with hardware interfaces such as SPI, I

C, UART …etc.
Experience with debugging instruments such as Oscilloscope.
Personal skills:

Good communication and presentation skills.

The functional role Performance
Monitoring Engineer shall work to
guarantee Network Performance
Level necessary for the operations of
the NOC according to Ericsson
Managed Services delivery strategy.
To achieve these tasks, the
Performance Monitoring Engineer
shall accomplish his job following
the procedures and work
instructions designed for this
functional role.
This includes to ensure the
adherence of the NOC to the MSTOP
processes as well as to carry out the
functions assigned as per the
requirement of the daily schedule,
to provide visibility on the
contracted KPI and trends, as part of
the contract and SLA with the
customer.
Responsibilities
This Functional Role is responsible
for the activities related to:
-Highlighting issues on node level
after the first hourly sample.
-Reacting on referred TTs to
performance group within maximum
2 hours from referral time.
-Escalating any major degradation to
the performance team leader and
manager by SMS and phone call.
-Keeping the follow up on the
received email to Ericsson
performance team email account (by
adding flag on the pending email or
mark read on the read email and
complete flag on the completed
emails)
-Highlighting missing data on node
level to OSS team by email and
phone call to be recovered on the
spot.
-Replying to FO and other teams’
email which are requesting updated
performance status for site(s) or
node(s).
-Preparing and sending periodic
reports on events
-Preparing and sending the shift HO
report at the end of the shift
4 Requirements
The following main competences are
required for this role.
• Business objects reporter
• ENIQ database basics and SQL
• ProOptima reporter
• Microsoft Office (presentation and
reporting skills).
• For Access Profile:
-Need theoretical and technical
basics for GSM/UTRAN/LTE Access.
