حصلت كلية تكنولوجيا المعلومات وعلوم الحاسب بجامعة النيل على الاعتماد المؤسسي من الهيئة القومية لضمان الجودة والاعتماد (NAQAAE)، ويستمر هذا الاعتماد لمدة خمس سنوات، من ٢٥ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٤ وحتى ٢٠٢٩.
تم تحقيق هذا الاعتماد بعد عملية مراجعة دقيقة بدأت منذ عام 2018، تهدف إلى التأكد من التزام المؤسسة بجميع معايير الاعتماد الـ 12، التي تشمل التخطيط الاستراتيجي، الحوكمة، هيئة التدريس، التعليم، البحث العلمي، خدمة المجتمع، والجوانب المتعلقة بالموارد. ولم يكن لهذا الإنجاز أن يتحقق لولا الجهود المشتركة التي بذلها جميع أعضاء هيئة التدريس وأعضاء الهيئة المعاونة والإداريين بالكلية، بالإضافة إلى إدارة الجودة والشئون الأكاديمية وشؤون الطلاب بالجامعة.
ويعد هذا الاعتماد تأكيدًا على تميز الكلية وخريجيها، حيث ستتضمن جميع شهادات الطلاب من الآن فصاعدًا شعار الاعتماد، مما سيؤكد تعزيز مكانة الكلية والجامعة في سوق العمل.
