🏛️ مجلس كلية الطب البيطري بجامعة القاهرة يستعرض مستجدات التطوير الإنشائية والإنتاجية والتعليمية ويناقش الخطط المستقبلية لخدمة المجتمع والتعليم والطلاب 🐾
عقد مجلس – جامعة القاهرة اجتماعه الدوري لشهر مايو برئاسة الأستاذ الدكتور/ أحمد سمير – عميد الكلية، وبحضور السادة الوكلاء: أ.د/ هشام الزربة، أ.د/ فايز صليب، أ.د/ هبة الليثي، والسادة أعضاء المجلس الموقرين.
استهل عميد الكلية أعمال المجلس بتقديم أسمى آيات التهنئة للسادة أعضاء المجلس ومنسوبي الكلية بمناسبة قرب حلول عيد الأضحى المبارك، أعاده الله على الجميع بالخير والبركات.
كما قدم السيد العميد وأعضاء المجلس التهنئة للسيدة أ. جيهان محمدي بمناسبة قيام سيادتها بأعمال أمين الكلية، كما قدم السيد العميد وأعضاء المجلس خالص العزاء والمواساة لمجتمع الكلية في وفاة كلٍ من:
- الأستاذ الدكتور/ جمال عبد الحكيم سويلم – أستاذ علم التشريح والأجنة بالكلية.
- الأستاذ الدكتور/ محمد السخاوي – أستاذ الخلية والأنسجة بالكلية.
- السيد/ عبد الناصر سيد عبد الواحد – عامل المدرجات بالكلية.
داعين المولى عز وجل أن يتغمدهم بواسع رحمته ويلهم ذويهم الصبر والسلوان.
🟢 الحصاد الشهري وما تم إنجازه في إطار خطة التنمية والتطوير بالكلية تحت شعار: “كلية منتجة، معتمدة، معنية بصحة الحيوان وحماية الإنسان” التي تحقق
- ثمن المجلس النجاح المبهر للزيارة التفقدية الهامة التي قام بها معالي الأستاذ الدكتور/ محمد سامي عبد الصادق - رئيس جامعة القاهرة للكلية على مدار يومين متتاليين، والتي شهدت احتفالية اعتماد المجلس الوطني للاعتماد (إيجاك) لمعمل التشخيص الجزيئي تحت إدارة أ.د/ عادل خليل جوهر، هذا وقد تفقد رئيس الجامعة منشآت الكلية المتطورة، حيث أشاد معاليه بالطفرة الإنشائية والتقنية ووجّه بتقديم كافة أوجه الدعم لحل المشكلات وزيادة عدد المعامل المعتمدة وتطويرها. هذا وقد توجه سيادة العميد بالشكر والتقدير للقائمين على تنظيم زيارة رئيس الجامعة للكلية.
🥩 دعم الأمن الغذائي ووحدات الإنتاج (مبادرة الأضاحي) والوحدات البحثية:
- استعرض المجلس التوجيهات الفورية لدعم اللحوم المخفضة بمناسبة العيد من خلال فتح منفذ بمركز أبحاث ورعاية العجول لتقديم اللحوم والأضاحي بأسعار مخفضة ومدعومة من الجامعة للتخفيف عن كاهل أعضاء هيئة التدريس والعاملين.
- تابع المجلس تطورات العمل بالوحدة البحثية لتكنولوجيا تصنيع اللحوم والوقوف على آخر مستجدات العمل في الوحدة. بالإضافة للإعلان عن بدء دورة جديدة لتسمين الدواجن الحالية.
- مستشفى التعليمي وتحديث العيادات:
ناقش المجلس آخر مستجدات إنشاء مستشفى "البيطار" البيطري التابع للكلية واعتماد لائحة المستشفى وترشيح أ.د/ هيثم فرغلي لإدارة المستشفى، وأ.د/ وفاء عبد الغني نائبا لإدارة مستشفى الدواجن. هذا وقد أشاد المجلس بأعمال تحديث وتطوير عيادة الحيوانات الأليفة التي تجري برعاية ودعم شركة GSG والمزمع افتتاحها قريبا فور انتهاء عمليات التطوير ورفع الكفاءة.
- التكامل المؤسسي مع اللجان الوطنية:
استعرض المجلس نتائج الاستقبال الحافل والناجح لوفد اللجنة الوطنية لعلوم البحار والمصايد بالكلية، وبحث سبل التعاون الأكاديمي والبحثي المشترك بين الكلية واللجنة لخدمة مشروعات الدولة القومية في قطاع الثروة السمكية والأحياء المائية.
- المسؤولية المجتمعية والخدمات الطبية:
أشاد المجلس بالمشاركة المؤثرة والفاعلة للكلية في القافلة المتكاملة التي وجهتها الجامعة للمناطق الحدودية والنائية بمحافظة البحر الأحمر (حلايب – شلاتين – أبو رماد)، حيث قدم فريق الكلية المتميز (د. أحمد همام، د. صابرين أبو المجد، د. آلاء أنور) خدمات الكشف والعلاج البيطري المجاني والإرشاد للمربين لدعم الثروة الحيوانية بالتعاون مع مديرية الطب البيطري بالبحر الأحمر.
🌍 آفاق التعاون الدولي والشراكات:
رحب المجلس بزيارة وفد منظمة الأغذية والزراعة للأمم المتحدة (FAO) للكلية، لبحث تفعيل نموذج الفاو للتأهيل الطلابي (FAO Model)، والذي يهدف إلى بناء قدرات طلاب البكالوريوس والدراسات العليا، وربطهم بالقضايا العالمية للأمن الغذائي والتنمية المستدامة، تعزيزاً لمفهوم الصحة الواحدة.
🎓 الجودة والتميز الأكاديمي والأنشطة الطلابية:
- استعراض نتائج زيارة الدعم الفني المثمرة التي قام بها وفد مركز جامعة القاهرة لضمان جودة التعليم للكلية لمتابعة ملفات الاعتماد والتميز موجها الشكر للمركز بقيادة أ.د/ خالد سليمان ولفريق الدعم الفني بقيادة أ.د/ شادية تمام.
- استمع المجلس لشرح وتوضيح من د/ مجدي حنا حول المقترح والمشروع الجديد المقدم من سيادته لتطوير وتحديث وحدة القياس والتقويم بالكلية.
- بحث المجلس آليات تطوير الأنشطة الطلابية وتوسيع مظلتها مع الإشادة بالأنشطة المتميزة حيث أشاد المجلس بالفعاليات والأنشطة الطلابية التطبيقية التي نظمتها الأقسام العلمية مؤخراً، وعلى سبيل المثال قسم الأدوية وقسم الباثولوجيا وجهودهما في تقديم بيئة تعليمية تفاعلية ومبتكرة.
- الإشادة بمسابقة (VetNova) للابتكار الطلابي بعد نجاح يوم العرض التجريبي لمشاريع الطلاب الابتكارية وبحث فرص تمويلها وتحويلها لشركات ناشئة.
🎭 الإبداع الفني والنشاط الثقافي:
هنأ المجلس فريق مسرح الكلية على نجاح عرضهم المسرحي المتميز «الملف»، الذي قُدم ضمن مهرجان الجامعة للعروض الطويلة، مشيداً بروح الإبداع والتنظيم المشرف الذي عكس تلاحم أسرة الكلية والدعم الكبير للمواهب الطلابية موجها الشكر للسيد أ.د/ هشام الزربة - وكيل الكلية و أ.د/ آية بدوي - مستشار اللجنة الفنية.
🌹 .. لمسة تقدير خاصة:
وجّه السيد العميد وأعضاء المجلس تحية تقدير واعتزاز لابن من أبناء الكلية المتميزين؛ الدكتور/ محمد يحيى محمود الأستاذ المساعد بقسم السموم والطب الشرعي بالكلية (الباحث الحالي بجامعة هارفارد)، على مسيرته البحثية الحافلة في مجال تكنولوجيا النانو، والذي لاقى صدى إيجابياً كبيراً كنموذج مشرف يُحتذى به في المحافل الدولية.
كما ثمن المجلس جهود المكتب الإعلامي في تسليط الضوء على الإنجازات التي تمت كما توجه سيادته بالشكر لوسائل الإعلام المختلفة لتغطيتهم للأحداث الجارية بالكلية.
🗳️ الشؤون التنظيمية والإدارية:
حيث تم التصديق على محضر اجتماع الجلسة السابقة، واعتماد قرارات السيد العميد الصادرة بالتفويض. اعتماد محاضر اللجان المختصة بقطاعات التعليم والطلاب، الدراسات العليا والبحوث، وخدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة.
النظر فيما استجد من أعمال تخص شؤون الأفراد، والترقيات العلمية، ومنح الدرجات (الماجستير والدكتوراه).
واختتمت أعمال المجلس بتقديم الشكر لكل يدٍ تساهم في رفعة ، مع التعهد بمواصلة العمل الجماعي لتبقى الكلية دائماً في الصدارة علمياً، بحثياً، وإنتاجياً.

🏛️ The Council of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University Reviews the Latest Developments in Construction, Production, and Education and Discusses Future Plans to Serve the Community, Education, and Students 🐾
The Council of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Cairo University held its regular meeting for May under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Samir, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of the Vice Deans: Prof. Dr. Hisham El-Zorba, Prof. Dr. Fayez Salib, Prof. Dr. Heba El-lethey, and the esteemed members of the Council.
The Dean of the Faculty opened the meeting by extending his warmest congratulations to the Council members and all faculty affiliates on the approaching occasion of Eid Al-Adha, praying for blessings and prosperity for all.
The Dean and Council members also congratulated Ms. Gehan Mohamady on assuming the duties of Faculty Secretary. In addition, the Dean and Council members expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy to the faculty community on the passing of:
* Prof. Dr. Gamal Abdel Hakim Sweilam – Professor of Anatomy and Embryology.
* Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Sakhawy – Professor of Cell Biology and Histology.
* Mr. Abdel Nasser Sayed Abdel Wahed – Lecture Hall Worker at the Faculty.
Praying that Almighty God may grant them His vast mercy and inspire their families with patience and solace.
🟢 Monthly Achievements and Progress within the Faculty’s Development Plan under the slogan:
“A Productive, Accredited Faculty Concerned with Animal Health and Human Protection” in alignment with Egypt Vision 2030.
* The Council praised the remarkable success of the important inspection visit conducted by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, over two consecutive days. The visit witnessed the celebration of the accreditation of the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adel Khalil Gohar. The University President toured the faculty’s advanced facilities, commending the significant infrastructural and technological progress and directing full support to address challenges, increase the number of accredited laboratories, and further develop them. The Dean extended his appreciation to all those involved in organizing the President’s visit.
🥩 Food Security Support, Production Units (Sacrificial Initiative), and Research Units:
* The Council reviewed immediate directives to support discounted meat supplies for Eid through the opening of an outlet at the Calf Research and Care Center to provide meat and sacrificial animals at subsidized prices for faculty members and staff.
* The Council also followed up on developments within the Research Unit for Meat Processing Technology and reviewed the latest updates regarding its operations, in addition to announcing the launch of a new broiler production cycle.
* Educational Veterinary Hospital and Clinic Modernization:
The Council discussed the latest developments regarding the establishment of the Veterinary Hospital affiliated with the Faculty, approved the hospital’s bylaws, and nominated Prof. Dr. Haitham Farghali as Hospital Director and Prof. Dr. Wafaa Abdel Ghany as Deputy Director of the Poultry Hospital. The Council also praised the renovation and modernization work currently underway at the Small Animal Clinic under the sponsorship and support of GSG Company, which is expected to open soon upon completion of upgrades.
* Institutional Integration with National Committees:
The Council reviewed the successful reception of the delegation from the National Committee for Marine Sciences and Fisheries and discussed avenues for academic and research collaboration between the Faculty and the Committee to support national projects in fisheries and aquatic resources.
* Community Responsibility and Medical Services:
The Council commended the Faculty’s impactful participation in the comprehensive developmental convoy “Victory Development Convoy” directed by the University to remote border regions in the Red Sea Governorate (Halaib – Shalateen – Abu Ramad), where the distinguished faculty team (Dr. Ahmed Hammam, Dr. Sabreen Abu El-Magd, and Dr. Alaa Anwar) provided free veterinary examination, treatment, and breeder guidance services in cooperation with the Red Sea Veterinary Directorate.
🌍 International Cooperation and Partnerships:
The Council welcomed the visit of the delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to discuss activating the FAO Model for student qualification, aimed at building the capacities of undergraduate and postgraduate students and connecting them to global issues related to food security and sustainable development in support of the One Health concept.
🎓 Quality Assurance, Academic Excellence, and Student Activities:
* The Council reviewed the fruitful technical support visit conducted by the University Quality Assurance Unit to follow up on accreditation and excellence files, extending thanks to the center led by Prof. Dr. Khaled Soliman and the technical support team led by Prof. Dr. Shadia Tammam.
* The Council listened to a presentation by Prof. Dr. Magdy Hanna regarding his proposed project for developing and modernizing the Faculty’s Measurement and Evaluation Unit.
* The Council discussed mechanisms for expanding and enhancing student activities while praising the outstanding applied student activities recently organized by academic departments, particularly the Pharmacology and Pathology Departments, for their efforts in creating an interactive and innovative educational environment.
* The Council also commended the “VetNova” student innovation competition following the successful demo day showcasing students’ innovative projects and exploring opportunities for funding and transforming them into startups.
🎭 Artistic Creativity and Cultural Activities:
The Council congratulated the Faculty Theater Team on the success of their distinguished theatrical performance “The File,” presented during the University’s Long Plays Festival, praising the spirit of creativity and organization that reflected the unity of the faculty family and strong support for student talents. Appreciation was extended to Prof. Dr. Hisham El-Zorba, Vice Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Ayah Badawi, Advisor to the Artistic Committee
🌹 Inspiring Role Models… A Special Tribute:
The Dean and Council members paid tribute to one of the Faculty’s distinguished scholars, Dr. Mohamed Yehia Mahmoud, Associate Professor in the Department of Toxicology and Forensic Medicine and current researcher at Harvard University, for his outstanding research career in nanotechnology, which has gained significant international recognition as a model of excellence.
The Council also appreciated the efforts of the Media Office in highlighting the Faculty’s achievements and extended thanks to various media outlets for their coverage of ongoing events at the Faculty.
🗳️ Organizational and Administrative Affairs:
The Council approved the minutes of the previous session, ratified the Dean’s delegated decisions, and approved the reports of the specialized committees in the sectors of Education and Students, Graduate Studies and Research, and Community Service and Environmental Development.
The Council also reviewed matters related to personnel affairs, academic promotions, and the awarding of Master’s and PhD degrees.
The meeting concluded with gratitude to everyone contributing to the advancement of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Cairo University, with a commitment to continue collective efforts to ensure the Faculty remains at the forefront academically, scientifically, and productively.
