A collection of projects exploring arrival as more than a destination—reframing it as a journey shaped by displacement, memory, and emotional transition.

Across the studio, students engaged with diverse contexts and narratives, translating complex human experiences into spatial sequences. From fragmentation and disorientation to grounding and healing, each project proposes architecture as an active participant in how we process loss, movement, and belonging.

Together, these works reflect a shared inquiry: how can architecture move beyond function to become a medium for emotional resonance, cultural continuity, and meaningful connection?

From Brand to Space | Interior Design Studio

In this studio, students explored the relationship between branding and interior architecture by developing complete brand identities before translating them into spatial experiences. Beginning with logo design, visual language, color palettes, and conceptual branding posters, students then transformed their ideas into interior environments that reflect the character and identity of each brand.

The projects demonstrate how graphic identity and spatial design can work together to create cohesive, immersive user experiences where every interior detail becomes an extension of the brand itself.

Ex*****on Design | Smart Facade Workshop

As part of the Ex*****on Design studio, students explored the relationship between environmental performance and responsive architectural systems through the design and ex*****on of smart moving facades. The workshop focused on developing adaptive facade mechanisms capable of addressing multiple environmental treatments including shading, daylight control, ventilation, heat reduction, and user comfort.

Through experimentation, fabrication, and hands-on ex*****on, students translated conceptual environmental strategies into dynamic architectural systems that respond to changing conditions while integrating technical detailing and material considerations.

Behind the scenes of our Architectural Cinematography course so far.

In this studio, we’re thinking beyond blueprints—using cinema as a critical tool to read the city, capture urban memory, and turn narrative into spatial method. From storyboarding the invisible to framing Cairo as a sequence of lived scenes, we’re asking: How does cinema help us see what architecture usually hides?

On Sunday, October 26th, 2026, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Smart Village Campus had the pleasure of hosting Dr. David Rossi, Manager of Europ Education Ltd., the long-standing partner responsible for managing our tailor-designed excursion programs in Europe over the past six years.

During his visit, Dr. Rossi presented Certificates of Completion to more than 55 students from the Mechanical , Electronics , Energy & Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design Departments, recognizing their successful participation in the European Excursion Program.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Prof. Mona Fouad, Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Yasser Elshaer, Vice Dean for Training Affairs, Dr. Kareem Nabil, Head of the Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design Department, and Dr. Mohamed Mosaad Elshafei, Head of the International Training Programs .

This visit reflects the Academy’s continued commitment to international collaboration and to providing students with valuable educational experiences beyond the classroom.
