A Strategic Alliance Shaping the Future of Banking: Launching Egypt’s First AI for Banking Diploma
Newgiza University (NGU), in collaboration with regional partner Injaz Consulting Group, has officially signed the second annex to its Memorandum of Understanding with the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI), the training arm of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE). This landmark alliance marks the launch of the School of Business & Finance (SOBF) Executive Education arm—a transformative platform designed to advance the capabilities of banking and corporate professionals.
The centerpiece of this collaboration is the introduction of Egypt’s first specialized diploma in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the banking sector. Launched under the umbrella of the "Digital Academy”, powered by FinTech Egypt (an initiative by the Central Bank of Egypt), the program combines the academic excellence of NGU with the international and regional training expertise of Injaz Institute.
The signing ceremony was held in the distinguished presence of H.E. CBE Governor Mr. Hassan Abdallah, H.E. NGU President Professor Dr. Ahmed Sameh Farid, and Former Prime Minister & NGU Head of Advisory Board Dr. Ahmed Nazif. They were joined by NGU Vice President Professor Dr. Lamis Ragab, Dean of the School of Business & Finance Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Aziz Hegazy, and CEO of Injaz Consulting Group Eng. Mohamed ElSherif.
The success of this alliance is credited to the strategic leadership of its founders: Dr. Iman Youssef, NGU SOBF Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies & Executive Education, and Eng. Ahmed Rahmi, Injaz Executive Learning Director. Their efforts were bolstered by technical guidance from Eng. Abdel Moneim Darwish, CEO of Injaz Tech, and Professor Dr. Laila El Fangary, NGU Professor of Information Systems.
This mega-alliance was realized through the unwavering support of Dr. Rasha Negm, CBE Assistant Sub-governor of the FinTech and Innovation department, and Mrs. Zeinab Abdel Razek, EBI Chief of Business Development & Training Ex*****on. Significant contributions were also made by key team members Eng. Mahmoud Abdel Fattah (EBI), Ms. Mariam El Masry (CBE), and Mr. Ahmed Seada (Injaz).
