ASHRAE BUE Student Branch is excited to announce an online HVAC Workshop designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of HVAC engineering and its real-world applications. The workshop will cover key topics such as Introduction to HVAC Systems, Air Psychrometrics, and Constant Air Volume (CAV) Systems, building a strong foundation before moving toward more advanced design concepts used in engineering projects. The sessions will be delivered by Bassem Essam, Certified HVAC Designer and Mechanical Design Engineer at AJi Group, and Co-Chair of the ASHRAE Cairo Chapter Student Activities committee. The workshop will take place online during March and April 2026, with schedules arranged based on participants’ availability. Certificates will be awarded upon completion.

During our field visit to Daikin Egypt Headquarters, we explored the company’s cutting-edge air conditioning technologies and gained valuable insight into real-world HVAC applications.❄️🏢

The session covered cooling load calculations (kW, BTU/hr, TR), eco-friendly refrigerants like R32, CO₂, and A2L, and innovative systems such as VRV/VRF, which optimize energy use and comfort.⚙️

We also enjoyed a tour of Daikin’s facilities, observing different system setups and components in action.🔧

A huge thank you to Eng. Aly, Technical & Training Manager, and Ms. Neveen, General Affairs & HR Manager, for their warm welcome and insightful guidance 🤝
