It’s your first day at the University of Málaga. After months of planning, paperwork and packing, you’re finally here. It’s early September, you’re in Málaga, and you’re feeling a mix of excitement and nerves as you wonder what these next few months will bring.
You’ve probably taken the metro or the bus to Teatinos Campus, where your international student orientation begins. First come the administrative procedures, documents and deadlines. You listen carefully, but you can’t help thinking: “This is going to be boring…”
Then things start to get better. You hear about all the services available to you at UMA, the support you can access and everything the university has to offer. And just when you think you’ve heard it all, they start talking about activities, events, trips and opportunities to meet other students. “Okay, now we’re talking.”
But the best part is yet to come. New friendships, a completely different culture, new places to discover and experiences you may never have again. Because your time at UMA isn’t just about studying at a new university. It’s about everything that happens along the way.
Your first day is only the beginning. A new city, a new university and a whole new chapter waiting to be written.
