✨ A deliciously Parisian evening with our Les Roches Alumni in France✨

Two weeks ago, our France alumni community came together once again for a truly unique experience in Paris - combining culture, gastronomy, and connection in the best possible way.

The evening began at the Musée Vivant du Fromage on Île Saint-Louis, where alumni explored French cheese heritage and enjoyed a guided tasting before continuing the night along the Seine aboard the Péniche Marcounet. From cheese and wine to conversations on the riverbank, it was a relaxed and very Parisian way to reconnect with fellow Les Roches alumni.

A big thank you to Jean-Baptiste de Lagarde for organizing another memorable gathering for the France Chapter and bringing the community together once again.

And the Paris momentum continues…✨

We are delighted to invite you to a special Les Roches Alumni Wine Masterclass in Hong Kong, hosted by alumnus Paul Sargent (LRB 2009), General Manager of Bidvino.

Join fellow alumni for an exclusive tasting experience in partnership with Les Jamelles, one of the most recognized wine producers from the South of France. Guided by Olivier Hua, Regional Director of Abbotts & Delaunay, and Paul Sargent, participants will embark on a tasting journey exploring the diversity and character of Southern French wines.

The masterclass will cover:
🍷 Aromatic vs Non-Aromatic White Wines
🍷 Rosé Wines
🍷 Rhône Valley Varietals, including Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre

This intimate event offers a wonderful opportunity to expand your wine knowledge, reconnect with fellow alumni, and enjoy an engaging evening in the company of hospitality and wine enthusiasts.

🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Alexander Martins Bengtsson
Director, Quality & Experience, Luxury Hospitality Consulting | Les Roches BBA ’14

Alexander Martins Bengtsson began his career as a professional chef, developing an eye for quality, detail, and flawless ex*****on before strengthening his hospitality foundation with a BBA from Les Roches. His path then led to London, where he held roles with Rosewood, Four Seasons, and The Arts Club, refining his expertise in guest experience, front-of-house leadership, and luxury service culture.

He later broadened his strategic, analytical and project management approach at Deloitte, before serving as Group Director of Quality at Rocco Forte Hotels. There, Alexander implemented elevated brand standards across the portfolio and helped embed performance frameworks that elevated service consistency and guest satisfaction at scale.

Today, as Director, Quality & Experience at Luxury Hospitality Consulting, Alexander works alongside founder Liv Gussing Burgess, whose global career includes a decade as a General Manager at Aman Resorts and collaborations with leadings brands such as Six Senses and Heckfield Place.

Together, they lead Luxury Hospitality Consulting, a high-trust boutique advisory firm specialising in ultra‑luxury hospitality. They work directly with developers, owners and operators to bring brand promises and visions to life, and shape concepts that are operationally deliverable, emotionally memorable and commercially successful.

Recent projects include strategic brand experience development for Shangri‑La Hotels & Resorts, reimagining guest journeys and elevating service excellence for Rockliffe in the UK, and shaping guest experiences, service ex*****on, and brand identity for Airelles’ first international property in Venice.

Across every project, Alexander draws on his Les Roches roots and chef’s mindset to help teams translate ambition into lived guest experiences – consistently, at the highest level of luxury.

🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Hai Vu
Director of Operations, Nha Trang Marriott Resort & Spa | Les Roches Executive Master’s in International Hotel Management | Les Roches Alumni Ambassador – Vietnam

Hai Vu is a hospitality professional with nearly two decades of experience, a journey that began in Stewarding and progressed through a range of operational and leadership roles across Vietnam, Cyprus, and the Middle East. Along the way, he has worked with leading hospitality brands including Marriott International, Vinpearl, The Address Dubai, and The Ritz-Carlton Dubai. Starting from an entry-level position gave him a deep appreciation for every aspect of hotel operations and shaped his belief that strong leadership begins with understanding and supporting frontline associates.

Today, Hai serves as Director of Operations at Nha Trang Marriott Resort & Spa, a 70-hectare integrated resort destination featuring 829 keys across 403 hotel rooms and 426 villas, where he supports the daily operations of one of Vietnam’s largest resort destinations. He has been involved in major hotel conversion and transformation projects, helping teams deliver operational improvements, maintain brand standards, and enhance the guest experience.

Reflecting on his career, Hai believes that hospitality is built on continuous learning, humility, teamwork, and a genuine passion for serving others. His experience across different cultures and operational environments has reinforced the importance of people-first leadership and developing future talent within the industry.

A recent graduate of Les Roches’ Executive Master’s in International Hotel Management, Hai credits the program with broadening his strategic perspective and strengthening his leadership capabilities. As a newly appointed Les Roches Alumni Ambassador for Vietnam, he looks forward to giving back to the alumni community, supporting hospitality professionals, and helping inspire the next generation of industry leaders.

✨ A special first gathering for our Les Roches Alumni in Saigon! ✨

Last week, a small group of Les Roches alumni came together in Saigon for an informal evening at Tiệm Mái Ngói Restaurant - marking what may be the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our alumni community in Vietnam.

Sometimes it’s the smaller gatherings that create the strongest connections. The evening brought together alumni for meaningful conversations, shared stories, and the familiar Les Roches spirit that instantly makes every gathering feel like reconnecting with family.

A special thank you to Quang Nguyen, Les Roches Alumni Ambassador and RVP, for bringing everyone together and taking the initiative to create this opportunity for our community in Saigon.
