Can architecture turn a void into the most valuable space in the building?

Here, the central incision does more than divide the mass — it creates a new urban passage, bringing daylight, movement, landscape, cafés, and people into the heart of the building.

The stone feels heavy and permanent. The copper volume feels dynamic and almost geological. The contrast makes the void become the identity of the entire project.

But here is the controversial question:

Is this a genuine architectural transformation of urban space — or simply a spectacular gesture designed to make the building unforgettable?

Would you rather have a building that blends into the city, or one that forces the city to stop and look?

🍎 Apple | Totally obsessed with these architects' aesthetics
Imagine if architectural masters designed an apple 🍎
Same apple, but 8 totally different design languages.
Taking the kids to explore these designers' minds,
Breaking fixed mindsets—who knew fruit could turn into architecture? ✨

1. Frank Gehry
Slogan: Architecture doesn't have to play by the rules.
Style Keywords: Deconstructivism, fragmented polygons, metal, breaking conventions
Features: Irregular, shattered shapes that boldly subvert our impression of a round apple.

2. Zaha Hadid
Slogan: Flow is another kind of power.
Style Keywords: Streamlined, curves, dynamic, organic forms
Features: No sharp edges, just smooth, winding surfaces full of movement.

3. Tadao Ando
Slogan: Let light redefine the everyday.
Style Keywords: Fair-faced concrete, light & shadow, minimalism, quietness
Features: Concrete shell with cross-shaped gaps letting light through; uses light to create atmosphere (think Church on the Water).

4. Le Corbusier
Slogan: Order creates a better life.
Style Keywords: Brutalism, geometry, pilotis (elevated structure), machine for living
Features: An actual little house inside the apple! Elevated by columns, giving it a strong sense of architectural space.

5. Antoni Gaudí
Slogan: Nature never makes straight lines.
Style Keywords: Mosaic inlay, natural forms, curves, fantasy
Features: Hollow structures + colorful mosaic collages, inspired by nature (like Sagrada Família).

6. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
Slogan: Less is more.
Style Keywords: Minimalism, transparency, glass, simplicity
Features: A transparent glass apple—stripping away excess decoration for a clean, restrained look.

7. Kengo Kuma
Slogan: Coexist gently with nature.
Style Keywords: Wood texture, layering, natural symbiosis
Features: Layered bamboo and wood, emphasizing the fusion of architecture and nature.

8. Santiago Calatrava
Slogan: Let structure be poetic too.
Style Keywords: Bionics, skeletal feel, rhythmic structure
Features: Unfolding like feathers or bones—the structure itself is the beauty
