In March, 2013 members of Cetpd - Upc conducted a study that attracted 23 participants (volunteers). This study was administered at CETpD usability lab in Vilanova i la Geltru. In this study, the investigators aimed to clarify the relationship between psychological responses of people to movie clips and their physiological signals such as heart rate and skin conductance. The movie clips served as stimuli to elicit both conscious emotions (such as happiness, excitement, etc) and archetypal experiences. The archetypal experiences are inborn forms of apperception and were first discovered by Carl Jung. Examples of the archetypal experiences are experience of hero, anima or mentor. The analysis of data collected during this study is to answer the question whether physiological data can predict psychological states of people.
