🌱 Are you being prepared for the green jobs of tomorrow?

The world of work is changing — and green skills are becoming more and more important. 🌍

But are universities and training programmes giving students the skills they’ll actually need?

🎓 Do you feel ready for the green transition?

Tell us what you think 👇
Are students getting enough opportunities to develop green skills?

What’s the most important thing about the GREENVERSITY Project? 🌱

Sara Mollà Casanova has the answer. 👇

In fact, it’s her personal perspective.
But it perfectly reflects one of our key objectives for this project.

🌱 Discovering sustainability skills… with a card game! 🃏✨

From 8 to 10 July 2026, the RITM-BFC conference brought together students, researchers, teaching staff and partners at Université Bourgogne Europe to explore new ways of learning and teaching in higher education 🎓

One of the highlights? A workshop on 🌍 Sustainability Competences, where participants explored their own skills through the GreenComp framework.

🃏 To make this reflection more interactive, RITM-BFC introduced the card game created as part of the GREENVERSITY project — a fun way to discuss, share ideas and discover how we can all contribute to a more sustainable future 🌿

A big thank you to Jonathan Tessé and Marion Chevalier for leading this inspiring workshop 🙌

🌍💡 Can higher education inspire the next generation of green entrepreneurs? We believe it can.

On July 3, during the Green Entrepreneurship for Youth (GEFY) LTTA, Dr. Jose Badia showcased how GREENVERSITY is helping shape a more sustainable future through educational innovation and European collaboration. 🇪🇺✨

Throughout the session, students, educators, and international partners explored:
🌱 New ways to teach sustainability
💼 Innovative approaches to green entrepreneurship
🤝 How collaboration can empower young people to create real impact

At GREENVERSITY, we're committed to giving students the skills, mindset, and opportunities they need to lead the green transition and build a better future. ♻️🚀

☀️ What if summer became a chance to grow your green skills? ♻️

Summer often means rest, travel or student jobs... but it’s also the perfect time to adopt more sustainable habits 🌍

Here are 5 simple actions for a more sustainable summer 🌿 and a boost to your future career 👇

1️⃣ Eat local & seasonal: support local economies while cutting your carbon footprint.
🧠 Skill: systems thinking & responsible consumption.

2️⃣ Travel differently: try train journeys, car sharing, or slow tourism.
🧠 Skill: informed decision-making.

3️⃣ Reduce waste: say no to single-use plastics and explore low-waste living.
🧠 Skill: individual and collective action.

4️⃣ Get involved locally: volunteering, community initiatives, or leading workshops.
🧠 Skill: collaboration and active engagement.

5️⃣ Keep learning: dive into podcasts, MOOCs or books on sustainability and circular economy.
🧠 Skill: lifelong learning.

👉 These small choices build real green competences, increasingly valued by employers across all sectors.

💼 Embedding sustainability into your everyday life is already shaping you into a thoughtful, future-ready professional.

🌍✨ What if a card game could help you build the sustainability skills needed for the future?

As part of the GREENVERSITY project, we've created a deck of 52 cards designed to help students explore and develop the sustainability competences identified by GreenComp.

🃏 The challenge?
Discover the knowledge, skills and attitudes that can help you tackle today's environmental and social challenges.

💡 Use the cards to:
🌱 Reflect on sustainability issues
🤝 Work collaboratively with others
🚀 Imagine solutions for a more sustainable future
🎓 Connect your learning experiences to real-world impact

Already tested in workshops, the game has helped participants identify the sustainability competences they are already developing through projects, discussions and future-thinking activities.

📍 Curious to try it?
Join us at the RITM-BFC Conference in Dijon for a dedicated workshop on sustainability competences.

📅 8 July
⏰ 4:30–6:00 pm

The future needs people who can think critically, collaborate effectively and act sustainably. Why not start exploring these competences today? 🌿

🌱 What if sustainability wasn't just one course… but part of everything you study?

We asked students:

👉 How can universities better prepare us for the environmental and social challenges ahead?

Their answers are clear:

💡 More real-world projects
🤝 More collaboration between disciplines
🌍 Sustainability in every degree programme
🎓 Recognition of green skills and competences
🚀 More opportunities to create real impact

30 hours of collaborative work 👥
An average temperature of 30 degrees at Université Bourgogne Europe 🏫📍
A fair amount of coffee and local wine ☕🍷
And, above all, a great deal of learning, sharing and innovation 🗣️🤝👨‍💻

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 — our three-day training programme was truly inspiring and enriching.

We are delighted by this collective international collaboration and shared commitment towards a more sustainable future for higher education 🎓🌱

A huge thank you to Université Bourgogne Europe for its warm welcome — quite literally — as well as to the Le Cortex and the IUVV (University Institute for Vine and Wine Studies) for providing their facilities.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all the stakeholders who contributed to the success of this seminar, and to all participants for their commitment to the project.
