For this new practical session, our first-year biotechnology engineering students observed, characterized, and manipulated microorganisms under the supervision of Caroline Rigouin. To complete the practical application of their microbiology course, they monitored the production of a recombinant protein in a bacteria. 🔍

On Saturday, March 7, between 250 and 300 of you came to visit our school!
This sunny day was the opportunity to learn more about the various study programs available at ESBS and to guide future students in their career choices.

Thank you to everyone who attended this event and to the organizers, especially the students from the school's associations and the ESBS teachers, for this wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas. ✨

🇬🇧🔎Focus on the ExA2Bio project

Following the CMA ("Compétences et Métiers d’Avenir" - Skills and Professions of the Future) call for projects launched by the ANR, ESBS, together with a consortium of academic partners, is offering a range of training courses to meet the growing needs of manufacturers in bioproduction and biotherapies, from vocational baccalaureate to doctoral level.

ExA2Bio aims to modernize these training courses to bring them more in line with the realities and needs of the industrial world, in particular through the modernization of teaching equipment, the integration of digital technology, and the reinforcement of professional scenarios within the training courses.

Focus sur le projet ExA2Bio

Suite à l'appel à projet CMA (Compétences et Métiers d’Avenir) lancé par l’ANR, l'ESBS, avec un consortium de partenaires académiques, propose un ensemble de formations répondant aux besoins croissants des industriels en bioproduction et biothérapies du bac pro au doctorat.

ExA2Bio a pour ambition de moderniser ces formations pour les aligner davantage avec les réalités et besoins du monde industriel, notamment à travers la modernisation des équipements pédagogiques, la prise en compte de la transition numérique et le renforcement des mises en situation professionnelle au sein des formations.

During this practical work session, our first-year engineering students in Biotechnology and Chemistry-Biotechnology were tasked with purifying proteins from a total extract.🧪​🧬

Thanks to an AKTA start and the characterization of their purified fractions, our students worked on isolating their proteins.✅

🎥 Zeynab Alami, who recently graduated with an engineering degree in Biotechnology at ESBS, won the Bartholdi 2025 award in the video category.

🌐Originally from Afghanistan, she recounts her intercultural and international experience, including her internship at the Biozentrum at the University of Basel in Switzerland.🇨🇭
