From 14 to 19 April 2026, the 20th edition of the Global MBA Trophy brought together more than 250 sailors from 14 leading business schools in Microlimano, Piraeus, Athens. Hosted by London Business School and the Yacht Club of Greece, the regatta fielded 40 boats across three divisions, mixing alumni and current students for two days of racing on 17–18 April, complemented by a welcome ceremony, a race dinner and a formal gala awards evening.
The 2026 fleet brought together HEC Paris, INSEAD, IE Business School, Kellogg/WHU, London Business School, SDA Bocconi, Tuck (Dartmouth), Saïd (Oxford), Rotterdam Erasmus, POLIMI GSoM, Warwick, Wharton, Yale and the local Athens University of Economics and Business.
Racing took place across the Saronic Gulf, against the backdrop of the Athens skyline. The fleet was split into three divisions: Division A (21–25 ft racing boats, the most competitive class), Division B+ (36–44 ft racer/cruisers) and Division B (40–50 ft cruisers with a professional skipper). Within Division A, boats were further separated into a gold and a silver fleet on day two, based on day-one standings. The overall 2026 trophy went to IE Business School, with podium positions celebrated at the Yacht Club of Greece gala.
For the first time, HEC Paris entered a full team in each of the three divisions — 19 sailors blending alumni and current students — and, also for the first time, lined up in the most competitive Division A class in Athens. Our Division A crew finished 3rd in the silver fleet of Division A, a strong debut in the championship’s elite class.
