// LYONMUN 2023 //

From May 24 to 27, two of our delegates participated in the 10th edition of the LyonMUN 🦁🦁 in Lyon, France.

They had an amazing time there! Yassine Krouk represented the Russian federation 🇷🇺 and Alec Bertin the United States of America 🇺🇸 in the World Meteorological Organization 🌎🌧️

A big congrats to both of them for their awards: Bertin received the Best Delegate award 🤩 and Yassine Krouk an Honorable Mention 👏

We’re very proud of them and can’t wait to attend to many more conferences next year !! See you in September, Ban-Ki Munwalk 🇺🇳

Following an Ordinary General Assembly held today, the Munwalk office 2022-2023 has elected the new office for next year. 🤩🤩

// CLAP DE FIN 2022-2023 //

Honorable Chair, distinguished delegates,

As the end of this student year draws to a close, the 2022-2023 board would like to sum up all that has been achieved this year alongside you, delegates.

We've followed you from the start of the training right through to the final simulation, and we've been impressed by all your progress. You've shown real inventiveness in your speeches and increasingly sharp negotiating skills.

Then, from Rome to Chicago, via Paris, you all shone abroad. These international conferences have sometimes pushed you to your limits, but above all they have created team spirit and unforgettable friendships.

The MUN year finally came to a close with SPLIMUN, an in-house conference in Lille attended by almost 300 students. We're extremely glad of this success, and we saw you having a great time once again in the different committees proposed.

Dear delegates, you can be proud of everything you have achieved this year and of the diplomats that you are.

Always remember: to the MUN and back!! 💫

We yield our time back to the next Munwalk's board.

// CHOMUN - RENCONTRE DIPLOMATIQUE //

À Chicago, la délégation américaine a eu l’opportunité de se rendre au consulat de France à Chicago 🇺🇸🇫🇷, où iels ont pu rencontrer la consule générale adjointe Bérangère Travard.

Lors de cette visite, les délégué.e.s ont pu échanger avec la consulte générale adjointe sur le rôle d’un consulat ainsi que le rôle de la France à Chicago et ont pu poser toutes leurs questions.

Merci encore à Bérangère Travard pour son accueil 🤗

// A LOOK BACK AT CHOMUN 2023 //

From March 30 to April 2, 14 members of our association participated in Chomun, a mun conference specialised in crises in Chicago 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Delegates represented historical and current figures. The committees they worked on required not only thoroughness but also persuasiveness in order to best represent the interests of their characters. In addition, the delegates were able to develop a creative mind and to improvise as twists occurred in their committees.
Despite a difficult conference, the delegates worked tirelessly and faced the many obstacles, and we are very proud of them. 🤩

Le ChoMUN, ça commence aujourd’hui!! On souhaite bonne chance à toute notre deleg américaine fraîchement arrivée sur le sol des us 🫶🏻
Iels comptent bien montrer que les français (on pourrait même dire les lillois) sont chaud bouillants en crise 💥💥🔥

PS : qu’est ce que iels sont belleaux devant le Bean de Chicago 🤩

// HWMUN 2023 //

After a tiring week in Paris, the delegates of the Harvard World MUN returned to Lille last night 🥲. The conference was very rich for everyone and the socials each more incredible than the last. 🤩🤩

A huge congratulations to Rémi Zenaïdi and Olivia Scheire , DPRK 🇰🇵 in the SPECPOL committee for their well deserved verbal commendation.
A big congratulations also to the whole delegation who did not give up during the week (as shown in this post 😉.

We now leave the account to the CHOMUN delegates who, we hope, will enjoy their experience as much as we did. 🫶🏻

// FWWMUN 2023 //

The FWWMUN delegation () returned to France three days ago after a crazy performance in Rome!

A big congrats to all of them. They gave everything during the 3 days of the conference, a work that paid off as the squadra returns to Lille with no less than 9 awards 🤯🤯

Special congrats to Zahra Senhaji - Mexico in the Security Council 🇲🇽, Julie Berdin - Egypt in the UN Environmental Assembly ♻️, Maurin Pasqualini - Syria in the World Health Assembly 🦠 for their Best Delegate Award,

To Louis Sallier - Mexico in WHA and Léon Antoni - USA in UNSC for their Most Diplomatic Award 🙌

And finally to Julie Damoiseau-Félix - Cuba in ECOFIN, Ahnna Laurent - Cuba in WHA, Oscar Durand - Iraq in UNEA and - Eulalie Contier UK in UNSC for their Honourable Mention 👏

We are very proud of their performance, they shone brightly abroad 💫
Now it's time for the conferences of Paris and Chicago who are preparing every week to, hopefully, do as well as their Roman colleagues 😊

// FWWMUN - RENCONTRE DIPLOMATIQUE AU SAINT-SIÈGE //

Il y a quelques jours, la deleg romaine s’est rendue à l’Ambassade de France au Saint Siège. Iels ont alors pu rencontrer le diplomate français Marcel Escure, 1er ministre conseiller de l’ambassadeur de France au Saint Siège !! 🇻🇦🇫🇷

Il leur a transmis des informations passionnantes sur la diplomatie vaticane et les relations franco-vaticanes. Ensuite, la délégation a pu lui poser toutes ses questions sur le sujet. On le remercie vivement pour ce temps enrichissant passé en sa compagnie 😄

Enfin, les délégué.e.s en ont profité pour visiter l’ambassade, situé dans une très beau bâtiment : la Villa Bonaparte 🤩🤩

// FWWMUN - RENCONTRE DIPLOMATIQUE //

Notre délégation romaine préférée, en Italie depuis le week-end dernier, a eu la chance de se rendre hier à l'ambassade de France en Italie au Palais Farnèse à Rome ! 🤗

Les délégué.e.s ont pu échanger avec le 1er conseiller de l'ambassade de France en Italie Christophe Lemoine. Il leur a d'abord présenté le métier de diplomate et les missions spécifiques de son poste. 🌍🌎
Iels ont ensuite pu lui poser des questions variées sur la diplomatie, l'état de la diplomatie franco-italienne et l'actualité de celle-ci !! 🇫🇷🇮🇹

Bon voyage à elleux et bon courage pour le FWWMUN ;))
