🔻 Event Details:
📍 Where: Amphithéâtre 1
⏰ When: 17:40 - 19:00
💬 THEME: From Redistribution to Reconfiguration: Rethinking the Future of Gender and Diversity Film Policies in the Age of Algorithms
Over the past decade, gender equality policies in the European film sector have focused on redistribution—through funding conditions, anti-violence measures, and institutional reforms. However, these policies now face a double challenge: a growing political backlash against equality frameworks, and a deep industry transformation driven by platforms, algorithms, and AI.
How can public policies impact visibility in a platform-driven attention economy? Who has the power to make stories, people, and perspectives visible today?
Professor Irgacheva will dive into this media governance debate, exploring how public intervention can still meaningfully frame regimes of visibility in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
