L’École de design Nantes Atlantique is a private institution for higher education dedicated to design professions, in association with l’Université de Nantes. Founded in 1988 and recognized by the State, the school is a non-profit organization. namism, quality of life and support for contemporary creation, and have offshores campuses for postgraduate studies in Sao Paulo (Brazil), Shanghai (China), Pune (India) and Cotonou (Benin). The school offers two well-recognized diplomas:
-The Diplôme de design (Master’s degree in design) certified by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research that leads to the award of the "Grade de Master". It is also registered in the Registre National des Certifications Professionnelles (the French directory for vocational qualifications or RNCP) as a Level 7 Master’s degree. This five-year degree, is divided into two cycles: a three-year undergraduate course taught in French (BDes) organized around 4 specializations (Digital Design, Graphic Design, Space Design & Industrial Design) and a two-year postgraduate course (MDes) available in both French and English organized around socio-economic topics (Care Design, City Design, Digital Design, Food Design, Media Design & International Design Strategy). The curriculum allows students to acquire a first international experience, and the recognition of the degree offers interesting career development prospects in the short and medium term.
-The DN MADE, National Diploma in Fine Arts, Crafts and Design is a state-controlled degree and leads to the award of an Undergraduate Diploma after three years of studies. The DN MADE courses are organized around major and minor mentions and specialities. L'École de design Nantes Atlantique offers 4 DN MADE Programs:
DN MADE Space Design, DN MADE Digital Design, DN MADE Product Design & DN MADE Fashion Design. The first two years are entirely taught in French, and in 3rd year students have the choice to continue in apprenticeship in French, or to study in English in an International Class.
