From the Museum in Getaria to the studio in Paris!✨

We are proud to mark our first participation in the 4th edition of BALENCIAGA TRANSMISSIONS. Heritage and New Creation, Cristóbal Balenciaga Foundation’s educational programme.

As part of their Collection Development course, taught by Miki Omori (大森美希 / Miki Omori), 13 of our BFA Senior and MFA 2nd-year BFA Fashion Design & MFA Fashion Design and the Arts students kicked off the project at the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum in Spain, exploring Cristóbal Balenciaga’s construction techniques with pattern specialist Javier Martín Galán (Javier Martín Galán) and sculpting silhouettes during a full-day 3D moulage workshop.

Now back on campus, students are creating original total looks and portfolios, hoping to see their work featured in the programme’s digital catalogue and the 2028 museum exhibition! 🏛️

Double celebration at the 41st Festival d’Hyères! 🏆✨

We are more than proud to celebrate our MFA Fashion Design & The Arts graduates (Class of 2025), Yui Chen and Xiao Xu, for taking home top honors at villa Noailles after presenting their collections to a jury presided over by Chemena Kamali, Creative Director of Chloé.

🌟 Yui Chen (.i.iuy) was awarded the Grand Prix du Jury Mode for her collection inspired by colorful food covers—securing a €20,000 CHANEL grant with le 19M, material support from Alliance for European Flax-Linen & H**p & Sfate & Combier - Guigou, embellishment by Serge.H, AZ Academy acceleration, Watteau Group backing, and mentorship with The Arrow & Sterling International.

🌟 Xiao Xu (Xiao Xu) received the Prix Supima, honoring the best use of Supima cotton within a collection. The award includes fabric support for his next collection and a trip to New York for the Supima Design Lab on November 5, 2026.

Congratulations to both on this remarkable and well-deserved recognition! The Parsons Paris community is very proud of you! 👏🎉

Ludovica has continued running her brand alongside her studies. From pattern-making and crocheting, to marketing, accounting and logistics, she embodies exactly what our SDM program is all about!

First-year Drawing & Imaging students in ’s class had the opportunity to hear from Paris-based Mexican figurative painter .navarro.mx, who shared insights into his practice and artistic journey.

In “Core Studio Spatial” class with Lily Hibberd .hibberd , sophomores visited the Cité Internationale des Arts to see the exhibition “Les Voix se lèvent,” where they explored how artists reclaim the power of speech through sound installations, performance, and video.

The students saw works that transform the voice into a tool for resistance and healing, moving beyond silence to address global tensions and the impacts of AI.

Beyond their classroom work, first-year students regularly engage with external guest speakers invited by faculty. Recently, they welcomed French art critic and independent curator Anne Bourrasé ().

Following the release of her book Les Refusées, Les artistes femmes n’existent pas (), Bourrasé explored how women artists have been historically undervalued, rejected, copied, objectified, and erased from art history. She also outlined concrete actions to drive change: protest, track representation in exhibitions and museums, and keep reading.
