-Our Aims-
Hi Guys! We want to share with you our aims as a society and what we hope to do in the future.
-Support- Our biggest aim as a society is to become a safe place for all engineers. By having a place to speak about work in a non-academic environment, we believe students will be more inclined to ask for help earlier, leading to better grades and better mental health.
-Networking- We hope to make connections with industry, inviting them to come and give presentations about what it’s really like to work as an engineer, and giving advice on applying for jobs and placements.
-Skill Development- We hope to offer our members the opportunity to develop their skills by allowing other members to lead presentations to other members. We hope this will benefit employability amongst members.
-Social Events- We hope to run multiple social events throughout the year, from BBQs and bowling to pub quizzes. We hope these events will encourage inter-year networking.
