Launched in December 2007 with only 4 classes available and less than 20 members, Aberdeen University Dance Society (AUDS) has experienced exponential growth over the past 15 years and now offers more than 20 classes per week with the help of over 25 tutors. Everyone is welcome to the classes, and we aim to introduce dancing to beginners in an easy and fun way as well as to improve the skill and t

echnique of the more experienced students. AUDS offers a wide range of classes including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, K-Pop, Bachata, Highland and many more. We also invite members to take part in various performances and competitions that are organised regularly throughout the year. Each academic year is ended with a massive end of the year showcase where the tutors and students get a chance to show off their skills and amazing routines. AUDS has one of the largest communities of active members at the university, making it a great place to hang out, learn, develop, make new friends and most importantly, enjoy the art of dance!

✨Competition team auditions✨

It’s audition time!!! If you’d like to be a part of our amazing competition teams come along to auditions on the 26th of September 💃🪩🕺

The google form to sign up is in our linktree in the bio and the link will also be posted on our story. We recommend that you sign up for multiple styles 🤪

If you can’t make the audition date there will be online auditions and the videos of the routine will be emailed out for you to learn and send back to us. More info of this in the google form!!

Location and times will be posted at a later date so keep an eye out for updates 😉

We recommend everyone to try out for the competition teams, we want to see lots of new faces and talent for our teams!!

The competitions are an AMAZING atmosphere and AUDS are one big family who supports everyone throughout the competition season and we would love new people to join our family 💕

We’re so excited to announce that tutor auditions are open for the upcoming year! We are looking for tutors to run weekly classes, including key classes which can be found in the form below but we are also open to any other classes you would have in mind!
