As part of Green Libraries Week our Green Library Group is hosting a public screening of The National Emergency Briefing on the climate and nature crisis (nebriefing.org)

When? 21 October
What time? 6pm - 7:30pm
Where? The Craig Suite, Floor 7, The Sir Duncan Rice Library

The 50-minute film will be followed by a short open discussion about what we can do and what it means locally.

This eye-opening film features nine leading UK scientists and experts updating us on the latest in the climate and nature crisis and its impacts on everyday national life.

We are pleased to announce that thanks to the hard work of the staff responsible, the SDRL will reopen fully, ahead of schedule, at 10am today (Tuesday).

While the planned Open Day activities have already been relocated to the Science Teaching Hub, potential students will be told that they can visit the SDRL as part of their experience today.

Unfortunately, the unscheduled essential electrical repairs at the Sir Duncan Rice Library are ongoing and the building will now not reopen until 12pm on Tuesday at the earliest.
We are currently waiting for specialist equipment to be delivered to the site which will need to be fully installed and tested before services can be restored.

Taylor Library will remain open until 8pm tonight (Monday) with the Polwarth library open as usual.
A further update will be issued tomorrow.

We appreciate this disruption may impact your studies during an important time. If this is the case, please contact your Personal Tutor, Regent or Programme Lead. Please be assured this situation could not have been foreseen, your safety and wellbeing are our top priority and staff are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

Due to essential electrical repairs we are sorry to announce that the Sir Duncan Rice Library will close today at 17:00 and will reopen on Monday 24/08 at 12:00.
Taylor Library will be open on Saturday 22/08 at 9:00-17:00 for your study needs.
Medical Library is open as normal too.

Due to essential electrical repairs we are sorry to announce that Sir Duncan Rice Library will close today at 17:00 and we hope to reopen at the earliest on Monday 24/08 at 12:00.

Taylor Library will be open on Saturday 22/08 at 9:00-17:00.
Medical Library is open as normal.

Network outages - Saturday 25 July
Significant network hardware upgrade work will be undertaken this weekend within our primary Data Centre.
All IT services will be at risk, and will almost certainly be out of service, starting from 8am on Saturday 25 July, including but not limited to:
University website
WiFi networks – including eduroam, uoa-corporate, uoa-gaming
Wired network
Managed laptops – the F5 VPN will be offline.
Management Information Systems - Including Admissions, Student Records, etc.
Finance system
Outlook email lists
Teams telephony
We aim to recover most services before 5pm on Saturday 25 July though some services will be at risk until Monday 27 July.
We apologise for any inconvenience whilst this critical upgrade work is completed.
